What a stroke of luck, we booked a 1:1 for our 10yr old daughter and we lucked in with Martin taking her out. He's so experienced, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and she had a ball! Teaching her not only how to surf but navigate the hot sand and most importantly checking out the surf and the rips before going in. See you in a few days!
Go on 2nd Thursday of the month open mic night followed by guest acts. Generous wine serves
The facilities can be hired out and is a great spot for large gatherings such as weddings and birthday celebrations. Being a lifeguard here is an amazing experience and would recommend joining either to train to be a Lifeguard or joining the Junior surf program which is amazing for the kids to learn some amazing surf skills and how to be safe while in the surf.
Impressive complex. The Surf Club should be allowed to serve meals if they so wish. The local cafe doesn't operate after 5pm & shouldn't have the monopoly on this busy beach area. There are enough customers to share.
Great venue. Had an amazing time, and not far from the beach.
Enjoyable day out, 30 minutes drive from west Auckland. Local artists display of art at the Muriwai Surf Club. Visited the Gannet Colony and a walk along the beach.
