   Gorgeous campground - we visited in our caravan in the autumn, absolutely stunning. Peaceful lake, beautiful surrounds, a few lovely walks nearby, great for the kids. BYO toilet paper for the long drop. Hot tip if you’re staying for a while: the Ocean Spa in Napier has an excellent public shower situation. Hot and cold pools, and clean, private, hot showers and excellent family change room/ shower facilities (even hair dryers). We swam and kayaked in the lake with no problems (local kayak hire will drop the kayaks at the campground)

   Nice place to camp, really chill and relaxing. There are toilets, water and shelter. Huge space to put your tent and/or park. You can also find some walks around the place and you'll see a number in case you want to rent a kayak to explore the lake.

   Beautiful location and scenery. Interesting carved items scattered through the campsite and a good selection of birds that go over and animals. There are a few walks that can be enjoyed here also. Basic facilities but they are kept clean tidy.

   I have stayed here several times on the way up north, and it is always a great experience. The lake, bird life, and walks right on your doorstep make it the perfect location. A big shout out to the local council for allowing us to stay here.

   Beautiful Camping area, well away from the road, adjacent to a serene lake where no powerboats are allowed, only paddling and fishing. Good toilets and water on tap provided.
