My wife had come across this place on Instagram and coaxed me into coming because they have fly fishing (the Mohaka has long been on my list). It used to be a campground but they've done up a few of their cabins beautifully (I work in construction and was well impressed by their attention to detail). We had breakfast in our cabin each morning on the deck, birds singing away, horses cruising around, loads of cool people stopping by for a yarn. The meals were unreal - they eat well there that's for sure. Made my own filetting knife with Kelvin the guy who takes their knife making courses, he was awesome. Already booked a weekend for my parents in Jan to head there for their wedding anniversary

Always an absolute delight to escape I to nature at Mohaka river farm. The people running the farm are kind and helpful and there is always new developments each time we visit. We love the big communal camp kitchen and the big swings and being able to see the farm animals

Quiet stay in a gorgeous location. We stayed in the cabins closest to the river. One of the days was an open day with lots of activities ending in a wood fired pizza which was delicious. The upper campground looks great for families and has a better view whereas the lower area was perfect for us as a couple. A family run operation we had a few minor hiccups but were well looked after.

We have stayed here multiple times now and we love it every time. Weβve stayed on a powered site in a tent, in the A frames, and this holiday we stayed in a one bedroom cottage. So much is provided for you and the facilities are wonderful. We love the hosts and their families, they are always so lovely and accommodating. There is plenty to do and the surroundings never disappoint. Plus their wood fired pizza and icecream are great too. This is one of our favourite places to come and rewind!

Had a fantastic time away...Horse riding, candle making, hand milking of cows (they offer so many options)...amazing scenery even after all the damage from the cyclone...the guides were super lovely...next to no service so that made for a compulsory chill out time although there is wifi for those that cant deal with the withdrawl symptoms lol... There are different living arrangements for individuals or larger groups...really does cater for everyone...will certainly be going back there!

A beautiful drive to a very secluded area. Friendly hosts on arrival and we were given choices to buy ingredients to cook our dinner in our chalet as we didnβt come prepared and were expecting pizzas. Unfortunately this has to be requested before arrival and if there is a number of people staying. The chalet itself was perfectly designed, optional for x2 children to sleep in the top part. Kitchen had all the essentials required to cook your own meals. Communal showers were clean. We had the fire pit going and ate dinner under the stars with another couple who were also staying. We enjoyed the selection of walks around the river. We will definitely be coming back in the summer time!

This was a fantastic experience. We booked a horse trek in Oct2022. Fleur is a great guide, gave clear instructions to the riders, and is a really nice friendly person. The 2 hour trek took us over such a wide variety of landscapes with beautiful views. The horses were well behaved, and Fleur took photos of us together in picturesque locations. She provided a great experience for both myself (an experienced rider), and my daughter who is a beginner, and gave us interesting information about the farm as we went. The property is beautiful and well maintained and every one we spoke to was just so nice. It was a lovely place to visit and a pleasure to meet them.
