   Have stayed in the accommodation years ago from a holiday and recently for work- same fantastic experience. Lovely staff and clean tidy rooms. Had the room with stove top which was really helpful for cooking small meals instead of eating out! It’s also place right at the heart of the city making very ideal as a just walk max 10 min to access shops. Parking was always full during my stay!

   Rather disappointed as there were roadworks from 7pm to 5am. Didn't get much sleep and no prior warning provided. Also on site parking is very limited. Was not always fortunate to park on site and its paid parking elsewhere as can't park on street due to roadworks. Won't be repeating this experience. Checked out early.

   Such a fabulous place to stay! Location was great, super short walk into town (lots of restaurants, etc). Rooms were exceptionally clean and tidy, beds were comfy and top floor had some nice views. Request a ground floor room if you're not up for 2 flights of stairs (they looked nice, some had courtyards). Basically this place really exceeded my expectations as a "motel" for the price!

   Motel on York gets a lot right the room was spotless, the location is perfect (super central and convenient for exploring Dunedin), and overall, it’s a solid choice for a short city stay. However, a couple of things brought the experience down a notch. The washer and dryer felt quite outdated, and when I asked for basic things like changing money for laundry or swapping out linens, the staff response felt a bit cold like I was asking for too much instead of a simple request. It’s a great place for a short stay thanks to how clean and central it is, but the lack of warmth in service might make longer visits feel a bit uncomfortable.

   What a great find. So central to the city centre (5 min walk) and such a clean and comfortable motel with everything you need including a lovely little outdoor area/patio. The hosts are so lovely and helpful. We were a late check in due to flights and our key was readily available with a hand written welcome note. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay for a night or a week in Dunedin.
