Absolutely amazing, all staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Being our first baby I have no experience to compare but couldn't have wished for a better place to welcome our girl onto the world. Great facilities available at all times, never felt uncomfortable sharing space with others and no pressure or feeling of being rushed out once we had completed our stay.

The staff are amazing, very friendly. Shared bathrooms is a bit strange and disappointing for such a new facility. We had a better stay at Christchurch women's hospital with a private bathroom and formula made by nurses on demand and were told to dispose of the bottles each feed, very handy. At this place we were given just one bottle and had to wash and sterilize it each time in the name of saving plastic!, when another nurse gave us a couple of extra bottles so we could get through a part of the night without washing and sterilizing for the next feed the first nurse asked us who gave us those bottles and said they are trying to save plastic, not ideal washing and sterilizing bottles at 2am when you are sleep deprived with a crying newborn. Partners beds are also very hard. If you are going to stay here be prepared with your own bottles perhaps so you are not washing and seralizing after each feed!

We really appreciate the professional and supportive service we received from the staff at Oromairaki as first time parents who had a difficult labour and birth that exhausted us both mentally and physically. Having the safety net and support provided by the knowledgeable and caring staff really allowed us to recuperate from the past 72 hour labour/birth and grow to be stronger and more capable parents for our baby. Itβs clear that every member of staff have a passion for what they do and coupled with a new and well maintained facility made the whole experience so much easier. We will be forever grateful to everyone here at Oromairaki for their compassion and patience in preparing us to care for our little girl. Thank you all so much, regards Patricia, Peter and baby Ramona.

The team of midwives were amazing, supportive and so caring. We are so grateful that we were able to transfer there as it was a home away from home for us for the first few days. They took such good care of all of us and were extremely kind to my husband. Will recommend 100% to all families newborns.

We asked to be transferred here and we are so glad we did. The staff were amazing and so helpful and kind to us. It felt like a home away from home. The food was also amazing. My hubby also appreciated being treated so nicely.

Brilliant, friendly staff who made our family feel at home. The facilities are reasonably old but are comfortable and warm. Highly recommend.

Wasn't my first choice for post baby care (St George's full booked) but I loved it. Cosy, friendly atmosphere. The nurses were amazing. Plenty of food and help on offer for a first time mumma.

Most friendly hospital around, grow their own vegetables and fruits. Fabulous meals, excellent assistance to new or experienced mother's. I had an anatomically correct doll that was wrapped up just like a newborn baby and bought in for my 1st born, thus becoming 'their' baby, he promptly named this Keegan, the same as his brother. When I went home, he cared for his baby. Whenever his brother was up, whilst also assisting me, at his insistence, he wld get me nappy liners or a nappy if needed. Getting rather upset if he couldn't, when his brother got a bit older he would bottle feed him and would change a wet disposable nappy. He was definitely a wonderful caring brother. AND WILL MAKE A TOP, TOP, RATE FATHER.
