   Car always goes there and stops. This is truly a wonderful place for everyday healthy chinese meals. All food are excellent and chefs are outstanding

   I’ve visited this place a few times, food was good. But whenever the older, stern-looking lady without glasses is working, I tend to have a negative experience. She doesn’t seem welcoming toward some customers and often appears unwilling to listen or respond. On 21 November 2025, we were the first customers to walk in at 5 pm. My friend went straight to the counter and told her we already knew what we wanted and were ready to order. She seemed unprepared to start work and began handing us menus. My friend repeated that we were ready to order, and only then did she respond with, “Oh, sure, what are you after?” While my friend was placing the order, the phone rang. Without closing our conversation, she immediately answered the call in a noticeably friendlier tone—very different from how she spoke to us. (Maybe arriving exactly at 5 pm and ordering right away caught her off guard, but even so, the difference in attitude was uncomfortable.) Another waitress arrived shortly after. My friend saw a tray of polo buns for sale and decided to buy one, paying the younger waitress directly. Meanwhile, the grumpy lady continued with the phone order. Afterward, she brought water to our table, glanced at the polo bun, and asked my friend, “Didn’t you eat one?” He confirmed he had and that he’d already paid. She walked away without acknowledging his answer. When our dishes were ready, she served them without saying a word—not even responding to our “thank you.” She may have been in a bad mood, but the contrast was obvious when another customer walked in. She greeted him with a smile, a warm tone, and even cracked a joke. When we finished and went to pay, she was still on the phone, so the younger waitress handled our bill. We felt the amount was incorrect and asked for a receipt. It turned out the grumpy lady had added the polo bun—already paid for separately—to our table bill. Then the younger waitress remembered it had already been paid for and issue us a refund. After ending her call, the grumpy lady approached us in an unfriendly manner, as if we were trying to get something for free. At that point, we didn’t bother saying anything further. I genuinely feel bad for the younger waitress, who seemed to be working hard but may have a difficult time under this person’s attitude. As a hospitality business owner myself, I hope the management takes this feedback seriously. If the grumpy lady’s behavior reflects your standard of service, that would be disappointing. Otherwise, I encourage you to help her align with the level of hospitality your business aims to provide.

   It's my 1st time eating roast duck and beef with oyster sauce with rice for dinner in Christchurch, it taste good and delicious, the roast duck with rice is the best and you have wifi, which is good.
