    The portion sizes here are pretty generous, and the stir-fried dishes are okay. However, the char siu wasn’t great. The meat was really dry, and the color was an unnatural red and black, which made it feel not fresh at all. It was way too sweet—my Asian friends said it wasn’t authentic char siu. Plus, it was only warm, like it had been microwaved before serving.

    Lady at counter is most rudest person seen and the way she talks. Only went for food which is good. I think owner should think about the staff as well. She was on the phone all the time, no greet nothing. Will not go again

    This restaurant is excellent. I love the food. I like the Lazy Susans. They make it easy to share the food on the big round tables. This is a good place to go for groups of people. Very reasonable prices by today's standards.

    We have been ordering for years as we rates this very well, I don't know if they changed the chef or what but last 2 take always the quality of the food has been very poor, the prawns tested like if they were not fresh at all and the pork was super hard. We gave it another go but this second time we still felt dissapointed, not coming back.

    Great experience at the Phenix. Plenty of helpful staff on hand our order was taken in a friendly manner and the food arrived quickly, even though they were obviously busy with the amount of takeaway orders they were producing, and other tables they were serving. Menu was easy to understand and had a good variety. Food was delicious and the portions were large, we couldn’t finish it all and took some home. We will definitely eat there again.

    Pros... Friendly service, seated quickly, entrees to table snappy, mains were big portions and tasted great, prices were cheap, i wouldve paid more tbh. Resturant wasnt busy, but still very clean and enjoyable tp eat in. Cons... ahh thats gonna be tough.

    really worthwhile! deep fried squid lovely and fresh with a nice light batter. loved the hor fun noodles. wonderfully crunchy fried won tan. service in particular was really really good. Ken switched easily between english and cantonese and could discuss the menu in either language ....great job! Phenix restaurant is a great place to eat in Rolleston.
