It's been a while since we last had a meal here , we forgot how good it was ! Food was amazing the service sid and his staff gave us was faultless and the atmosphere was relaxed . Know we live closer to shamairaz we will definitely be visiting more often . I would highly recommend shamairaz if you enjoy high class Indian food.
Rare for a place to have food and service that are both above and beyond any other place around, but Samairaz manage it. I only have the pleasure to go here once or twice a year, but everytime I do it does not disappoint, and the people that run the place are incredibly friendly. Would recommend to anybody.
We live in Waimairi Beach and come here as our local takeaway now because the food and service is so so good!! Only suggestion is to apply to CCC to make the carparks at the front 5min for pick ups - if the restaurant is full and the back carpark is full then it's hard to find street parking around. Otherwise 5 stars for everything!
The overall experience are good. The staffs are all very friendly, helpful with answering questions regarding the dishes. All the dishes are unique in taste. The dessert was interesting to try!
Fantastic food, I was recommended by a colleague and they were correct. The restaurant is warm and modern and the staff were. Very welcoming and checked in during the meal that everything was ok and if we wanted any more drinks. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely stunning food! The only reason this is not a 5 star rating from me was that our group of 7 waited an hour before we were asked to order food and were very hungry by the time the food came. We were also only offered one round of drinks. My drink order was incorrect but very quickly rectified. Staff lovely & the beautiful fresh garlic naan was to die for!! Highly recommend the chicken tikka masala & we kept seeing these sizzling plates come out of the kitchen so I’m going for that next time I think it was a tandoori starter option. Soooo delicious!!
Our first time here, and it was an enjoyable experience. We split the Cheese Pakoras for a starter, before following up with a lamb korma and prawn saag with garlic naans as the mains. The food was fantastic and the portions generous. We had a booking for 6pm, and it was fairly quiet when we arrived. By the time we left there was hardly an empty table and there had been a steady stream of takeout orders as well. The service was faultless. Highly recommended.

We love dining at Samairaz. Both the food and the service are outstanding. The owners work in the restaurant - it makes such a difference. They are highly skilled at what they do and remember our favourite food and drink and details about our family. Very impressive. This is matched by delicious food - so tasty. We went there with friends who have visited India many many times who said it tasted very authentic. We particularly enjoyed the non-veg platter. Actually we've really enjoyed everything that we've tried. There's a steady stream of customers coming in for take-outs and the restaurant always seems busy, regardless of whether it's a weeknight or a Friday or a Saturday. This is testament to their quality of food and service as it's unusual for a suburban restaurant to be this busy. The service is outstanding - even on a busy Friday night, it's a marvel of friendly efficient service. These are highly skilled restaurant staff who really care about the dining experience of their customers.
