great for first time hot potters. you can get split soup pots if you’d like to try two flavours/heats. $42 for all you can eat, seriously. they accommodate groups well, til late.
Just wanted to check it out. The food looks great, very polite service crew and it's somewhere else to visit. I liked the atmosphere there.
This is a very difficult moment in my review career. I don't want to score them 1 star as that would undermine other people, however, in my free will I should give them only 1 as a conclusion of my experience. We drove almost an hour from West Auckland to Browns bay to have a hotpot dinner gathering. Turned out to be the only heartbreaking experience in my seven years living in Auckland. $42 per person, all you can eat style. We booked a private dining room as there were 10 of us having dinner together. The portion was unexpectedly small when it delivered. No, you don't get to pick up the foods you like from an open bar kind of arrangements. You place the order, waitresses will deliver. I understand the business owner is trying to control the cost, but, I mean, are you kidding me? Four pieces of ingredients in a small plate like Japanese soy sauce dipping one. We ordered two combinations of soups base, the taste of both soups making me wonder if they just simply mix the water and the soup powder. No taste at all! The most amazing part is the service, we were speechless by the rudeness. This is an "all you can eat" style restaurant, yet, the waitress not only once questioning us by "they think we order too much". Why you ordered that many? Are you sure you will finish the food? We were upset about the questions to us, the waitress explained "kitchen is asking me that's why I ask you". Brilliant! We regret the decision to book this hotpot place by trusting the social media recommendation. This is a big no no in my list.
Had really high expectations for the hot pot bcos of the reviews but it turned out just average. The BBQ was okay tho. The lamb was very delicious but the other skewers kinda lacked flavours which could only tasted the cumin and chilli powders.
The interior design and layout is so nice. It made me feel like I was in China. A variety of different things to put in your soup. I love the soup, it was so delicious. The lamb and beef skewers were nice. I love the chilli oil you guys have, it tasted absolutely amazing. The ice cream was good too, wish there was other choices though. The staff were friendly and always willing to check up on you and give you a hand. I want to come back again, but it is a bit expensive though. However, I think the quality of food here is really good so hopefully one day I will come back. Highly recommend this place for good quality foods and perfect for winter. Thank you!
