   Exceptional Dining Experience at Franklins Bar & Eatery, Pukekohe From the moment we arrived at Franklins Bar & Eatery, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and immaculately clean — a perfect blend of modern style and relaxed comfort. Every detail, from the spotless tables to the subtle background music, set the stage for a truly enjoyable evening. We started with four bottles of Heineken and a refreshing pineapple juice, which arrived perfectly chilled and promptly served. A simple start, yet it already reflected the care and attention this team puts into every detail. For our entrée, we ordered the calamari, and it was absolutely spot-on — tender on the inside, lightly crisp on the outside, and seasoned to perfection. The accompanying sauce added a bright, zesty contrast that made each bite even more delightful. Then came the mains — and what a treat they were. The house-made Steakhouse Pizza was bursting with flavour: perfectly baked crust, rich tomato base, generous toppings, and that balance of smoky, cheesy goodness that only a great kitchen can deliver. Every slice had depth and texture — you could taste the quality in every ingredient. But the true highlight of the night was the Wagyu Beef & Chorizo Risotto Balls. These were simply outstanding — golden and crisp on the outside, rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced inside. The wagyu beef melted beautifully, adding a luxurious depth that paired perfectly with the gentle spice of the chorizo. Each bite was pure comfort and sophistication rolled into one — truly a chef’s masterpiece. Whoever crafted that dish deserves the highest praise; the level of skill and care that went into it was unmistakable. A special mention must go to Robbie, who delivered exceptional service throughout the evening. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, Robbie made sure everything was perfect without ever being intrusive. It’s rare to find service this professional yet so personable — we really appreciated your warm hospitality, mate. All in all, Franklins Bar & Eatery exceeded every expectation — top-notch food, impeccable cleanliness, excellent service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. Highly recommended to anyone in or around Pukekohe looking for quality dining done right. We’ll definitely be back!

   I always order the beef gnocchi!! Its my favourite.. what i got tonight was sad. No beef cheek? Only mushrooms and bla bla.. half the sauce was in the packet aswell :(

   BEST MEAL WE'VE EVER HAD!! We we're travelling through on Saturday 6th Sept and luckily went in here. I looked at menu online and had loads of vegetarian/vegan options, so thought was worth a try, and totally glad we did! My husband had the wagyu gnocchi "best meal he's ever had" with a whisky, great combination and mine was cauliflower burger, omg the sauce was really delicious!!! My only criticism was the aioli sauce that came with chips, I'd recommend that same sauce instead or mixed in with the aioli could be a winner. Thank you for a great experience. Will definitely recommend and come when we happen to be passing

   I have been to Franklins a handful of times and haven't had any bad experiences here so far. All of their staff was very polite and they checked on us regularly to make sure that we were satisfied with our food and drinks, without being intrusive. The food at Franklins is delicious. I am particularly a big fan of their pizzas and chips, which are great value for money. They are also ideal for sharing with others. I will definitely be coming back here.

   cute little local pub this was our stop from auckland to hamilton (recommended stop for road-trip) food was nice staff was really friendly they have a wide range option for whiskey and a decent option for tap beers (especially for ipa lovers)

   Great modern restaurant with plenty of seating. Staff were attentive and friendly. Don’t recommend the prawn star pizza. They were shrimps not prawn. The excess of coriander including stalks and spring onion on top I did not like. Wish I had got the seafood chowder, good consistency and great taste. Passionfruit cocktail was delicious too. A lil on the pricier side.

   I underestimated this place and was wowed by how great the really food is here. Beef cheek cooked to perfection and was delicious. Chicken wings were delicious and great portion size for two people. Chocolate lava cake with ice cream was delicious. and food came out within 10mins of ordering!! AMAZING Presentation = STUNNING WOW JUST WOW, definitely top 3 restaurant in Pukekohe
