Spent a relaxed afternoon, food is genuinely good and freshly prepared, and the café has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The farm animals are well taken care of, which adds to the overall charm of the place. I also loved browsing through their souvenirs- a nice selection of thoughtful items to take home.
SheepWorld in Warkworth is a charming and educational experience for all ages. The staff are friendly, the demonstrations are fun and informative, and the animals are well cared for. It’s a great place to learn about New Zealand’s farming heritage while enjoying a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Such a great place to visit. The animals are all living their best life, love to interact and super friendly. The shearing show was well worth the extra price. The eco-discovery trail is a great added bonus. Oh and the cafe was great value, highly recommend the mushrooms on toast! The team clearly love their jobs too!
We were on a visit from Australia and came across this farm. Fantastic not for profit organisation helping underprivileged children. The food was fantastic and was plentiful, the staff were fantastic and even helped my daughter look for the farm cats! Coffee was delightful. 4 hours flew past in a flash. I hope we get to come back here at some point. Just simply brilliant!
What a fantastic and fun family friendly experience. We came up from Auckland and got there for opening at 10am. Came on the weekend but it wasn’t super busy at open which was great as we got feed and pat a lot of the animals whilst it was still quiet. Our kids got to feed the baby calves as well as the baby lambs (lambs during the show). The show itself was great, really fun and interactive and my two young boys really enjoyed. It was great to see the dogs round up the sheep in action as well as a live demo of a sheep shearing. We ended up staying for around 3 hours and loved every minute. Very well done! Animals are super friendly, well looked after and seem content and happy! Will come back and would recommend.
Great staff. Me and my parents went to the farm show, and the show was very enjoyable! The staff let the kids ( including me ) feed the lambs, and it was a very good experience. The cafe food is okay but value for money. Recommend this place for families.
Such an awesome day out for our little fam. My toddler adored all the animals, especially the baby bunnies, pigs, lambs and ducks. Will definitely be returning soon!
Loved it! Such great animals and had a Very special experience, the owner let us hold and feed the baby rabbits, lambs and piglets. Our girls are super stoked.
Great experience. You get to see sheep shearing, feed lambs with bottles. Then to go round and feed the other animals including ponies, sheep, goats, llamas, pigs etc. Very generous people. We had tickets for a day their power went out, so there was no show but we went to the feeding which was fun despite the rain. They refunded us after and let us go the next day for free. We had fun, both days and bought tons of merchandise to say thanks.
We went early and got lucky enough to feed the calves. Staff is also super friendly and helpful when asking about the animals. Heads up that we went during a rainy season, and there were a ton of Sun Flies, so bring your bug repellent. The show was also super fun for the toddlers to watch. We got a live demonstration of how the dogs herd sheep, seperating the sheep, and how to sheer a sheep.
