Stayed two nights in October 2025. Jane is simply lovely. My friend and I really appreciated that this place has rooms with two beds, easy for non-romantic, two-person trips. Great recommendations from the staff. If youβre walking, it is on a hill just to bear in mind if thatβs not your thing. Park nearby has hiking paths that lead to some really delightful surprises (donβt wanna spoil it for you).

Jane is an excellent hostess and went out of her way to help us weary travellers. The rooms were spotless cosy and comfortable. Perfect location as the main bus stops outside the B&B. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during our NZ trip in September. We had a fabulous stay at Booklovers BnB and really enjoyed the view from the bedroom window, as well as the overall fabulous location of the place. The accommodation was quiet and comfortable but also within walking distance to great food and bars. We also loved hiking at Mount Victoria, which was right next door. The lovely breakfasts were most welcome too! We highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Wellington!

Great location. Walkable to most places, but bus stop right outside if prefer to use. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast provided. Free parking. Jane was delightful, helpful in educating us the many highlights of Wellington. If you enjoy hiking, trail to Mount Victoria is right next to her home.

What a find! Jane was the kindest and most life-loving host you could ever wish for. Such interesting conversations were had over the meal table, and our room was so homely and comfortable too. This will be a our "go-to" place every time we visit Wellington now.

Stayed here 4 nights. Very comfortable ensuite room. Owner interesting conversationalist and author. Easy going and accomodating. Permitted us to do a washing and use her fridge freezer as needed. Coffee's with continental breakfast were delicious. We walked to Te Papa and the restaurants for diners each night. Plenty of option close bye. Even for a vegan and a meat eater without sparks flying. If needing a break in Wellington check out Jane's Booklovers B&B.

We stayed at Booklovers for 3 nights at the end of our NZ honeymoon, and it was marvelous! The room was cozy (with an added bonus of in-room tea/coffee maker, mugs and tea bags), the breakfasts were delicious, and Jane was incredibly kind and accommodating. The location is great as well-right by a bus stop, with an awesome view. The stuffed bookshelves in every room, and in the hallways, were an added perk!

The most welcoming, comfortable, wonderfully decorated place we've ever had the pleasure of staying. Jane went out of her way to make us feel at home, the cookies are great and she's a lovely host and the house is fantastic.
