The location was perfect. However, the decor was tired and poorly executed. For example, the hall tables on each lift/stair landing were terrible - small table with two oversized lamps and some sad, dried arrangement. Take all that away and just have a chair and small side table. Mirrors old and ugly. Now, the dining room! Chairs ugly - get rid of them as they are cheap and nasty looking. The bar area - all the different and bright coloured seating looked like children had designed it. The area is for adults and there are too many chairs for the room. Poor design. I suggest you employ me to give this building a much needed lift. The room charges do not reflect the poor and tired decor. Tell your waiting staff not to hover when guests are eating and to clear the table when patrons have left. Other than than, we enjoyed our stay.

Due to issues with the front building the entrance was via the carpark. Rooms were clean, we'll supplied but getting dated. TV reception was a bit dodger on some channels. The staff...well what can I say?? Greg, Micheal and the German man were totally incredible!!! The chef was so polite. Honest to goodness they made it back to 5 stars with their personalities. Out shone the girls..one was particularly brisk say we say. We tipped as they worked so hard to make us feel so welcome.

Had a wonderful experience at this hotel despite reservations taking place. Staff member Alex, a lovely young man from Germany was so helpful and kind. He went out of his way to make our experience memorable and comfortable. The other staff were also helpful and friendly. Alex, you are special, thank you very much. ❤️ A1 Service. Regards, Mike & Megan Spijkerbosh

Well, my first experience with this hotel was that the main entrance on Oriental Parade was closed, and there was no prior notification that the new main entrance is located on Roxburgh Street. As a result, my Uber driver dropped me off late at the incorrect address. I then had to wait 15 minutes for a second Uber to transport me to the Roxburgh Street entrance, which was highly inconvenient. The room itself was subpar. The carpet had noticeable stains and featured a significant crease running through half the room. The room door appeared weathered and stained. Even the corridor leading to my room was reminiscent of an old, run-down school hallway. Generally, the hotel facilities appeared very tired and dated. There was no air-conditioning, which made sleeping difficult as the room was quite warm. Upon checking out, there was no staff present at the reception desk. I was obliged to simply leave my key card, along with the sleeve and room number, on the counter. I expected to receive a receipt via email but ultimately had to contact the hotel to obtain one. The hotel is listed as 4-Star; however, the overall experience suggests a rating closer to 3 stars. In fact, it is more reminiscent of a cheap motel than a genuine hotel. While the location is excellent and the staff friendly, I would not recommend this establishment. I travel frequently for my work and stay in a wide variety of hotels. This is by far the worst I have encountered in the last 15 years.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Great location. Across from the harbour with lovely views. 15 minutes walk to the heart of the city. Delicious breakfast. I would like to thank Anna and Max again who work at the front desk, who both were very kind, helpful and caring with my dilemma due to an error from our Travel Agent. They were extremely helpful.

I would like to express my satisfaction with my recent experience. In stark contrast to my previous encounter last year, this time I was pleasantly surprised. The team's performance on August 27th, post 15:00 hours, was nothing short of exemplary. Their remarkable professionalism and friendliness significantly enhanced my stay, making it truly exceptional. The accommodations, characterized by their cleanliness and quality, were highly commendable. The picturesque views from the premises added an extra layer of appeal. I am eager to revisit in the future and sincerely hope for the opportunity to engage with the same exceptional team once again. Thank you for your hard work

Great location and nice rooms. The one of downsides was that we had to catch one lift to the 7th floor and then walk through bar/restaurant area to catch another lift to the 8th floor, you don't feel comfortable walking through the nice part of the hotel when you have just travelled and don't look your best, also you do have to pay for parking and it is a bit tricky to get into.

A little dated/tired looking and were quite stingy with the bathroom products. Old Cigarette butts left on our balcony. Great location and friendly staff at front desk. Good breakfast offered, room cleaners were brilliant and nice touch to have free access to the pool and gym complex across the road.

We checked in and checked out straight away. We were not told when we booked that the lifts are not working and needed to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to level 10. This place needs an urgent review of its 4 star status. Parking out back is a mess and feels like you are checking into jail. Rubbish + drink cans on the ground are very unsightly and unwelcoming. The dining area has loose ripped carpet that is not even stuck down. Furniture is all marked and filthy. Hall ways to rooms feel musty and dark with terrible condition carpet and wallpaper. Food trays lingering outside rooms. In the room the furniture was all marked and again filthy. Lovely view was about all it had going for it. I would score this hotel a 2 star rating. EXTREMELY DATED AND IN NEED OF URGENT CLEANING AND UPDATING. PRICE NEEDS TO REFLECT ALL COMMENTS ABOVE.
