   This was one of the worst McDonald’s experiences I’ve had. Food: The fries were the worst I’ve ever had at any McDonald’s — undercooked and already cold when served. Restrooms: Absolutely filthy. Kids’ play area: Shockingly dirty. There was a very strong and unpleasant smell, like urine, which made it completely unacceptable for children. Given the overall level of cleanliness, it honestly makes me question whether the food is being prepared and handled hygienically at all.

   Worst mcdonalds experience ever. I couldn't understand the person talking to me in drive thru. Very strong accent. Asked me for my code 3 times, had to give my order 3 times. Didn't speak to me at payment. Food took a while to arrive, it was cold and I had to wait in the bay for my coffee. When the deliverer slowly wandered out, the order was wrong and he was delivering two drinks, not one, I asked if I had paid for two? He didn't know, and said he would check. I got impatient and drove off. The coffee was bitter and Luke warm. Disaster morning. With everything that could go wrong, effectively achieved.

   Service is very slow all the time in the drive thru, even when no one else is there & talk about repeat repeat repeat your order & they still get it wrong, how does a large strawberry sundae sound like fries???? Bonus if you get hot food too. Not very good customer service at all & last resort to come here because of it.

   To the owners & management of MacDonalds Orewa, I had a late dinner tonight approx 9pm, I watched patiently as an amazing young woman took care of the front desk and at least 2 other stations, the drive thru, the Cafe orders etc. As a previous customer service manager myself I can only hope this employee and no doubt the only other person I saw deserve to be acknowledged. The calm confidence and politeness as she had to navigate customers was effortlessly undertaken. I do not feel she/they were adequately provided for as far as support, please honour your employees, this one in particular is worth or weight in gold.

   Formal Complaint Regarding Customer Experience at McDonald’s Orewa Dear Mr. and Mrs. Harlock, I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding my experience at your McDonald’s Orewa restaurant on Monday, 3rd November, around 6:30 pm. I believe the situation reflects poorly on the management and operational standards under your franchise ownership, and I am seeking acknowledgment and corrective action. During my visit, I brought my Pro-Mantis 10 electric scooter inside the restaurant to keep it safe, as leaving it outside was not a viable option. When the store manager — a short, little Indian man — asked me to leave it outside, I explained my concerns and attempted to compromise by placing the scooter near the entrance, in a position that did not obstruct staff or other customers. At the time, the restaurant was fairly quiet. Inside a mother with two children, another customer working on a laptop, and a small group of approximately five people seated in the corner. I only intended to make an order and leave — a simple and reasonable request. Despite this, the manager escalated the situation by calling the (police) and effectively denying me service. I found this response disproportionate, unprofessional, and entirely unnecessary. It also created an uncomfortable and unsafe environment for other customers. This incident is particularly disappointing given that McDonald’s generally positions itself as a customer-focused and family-friendly establishment. I consider the behavior of the store manager during this encounter unacceptable, and it reflects a serious lapse in training, judgment, and adherence to reasonable customer service standards. I hope that, as the franchise owners, you take this matter seriously and ensure that your Orewa store reflects the values of safety, respect, and professional customer service.    Usually pretty satisfied with the service here. However today, my friend and I ordered through the drive thru and when we went to pay the worker on OT stood there without letting us pay for 2 mins then walked off as we sat there for another 10 minutes with people now honking at us. There were no cars in front of us.We tried to catch the attention of a manager who was outside and she looked at us and shrugged and walked back in. Kinda shocked by this, would have been nice if they just communicated with us.

   Order at the drive-through and order coffee and a meal. Was still busy paying, and the guy was walking away while he was busy serving me. Then get the coffee, is offal, not the first time the coffe is that you can't drink it. Will never buy coffee at Orewa McDonald's. We pay for nice coffee, but to many students learning and don't get good coffee

   nice. they still have mccafe food (just muffins) but no one is ever at the counter because they have ordering machines now. wait was pretty long but our nuggets were fresh and they still had the chocolate lava pudding in stock after most places have run out. no bbq bandit though. they also had ice cream working and both of the new sauces in stock.

   20 minutes in the drive through waiting for my order, worst McDonald's I have been too, shocking! Now wonder this place has a low google rating. They don't improve at all, no customer service.
