Very pushy staff. Our first visit put off by the staff being too pushy. Finally went back some months later and bought a tungsten ring. Came back that night because the ring was too large and they persuaded me to keep it for a bit longer. The next day I still had the same problem and came back, requesting a special order for a size down. The manager said the size was fine, ignoring my reasons and that I could shake it off my hand. I showed her my other ring, in the correct size and asked her to compare the size on their measuring stick - she lied while measuring them trying to convince me it was the same size even though I could see they clearly weren't. They didn't want to make the special order (perhaps it was too close to closing time?) and tried to convince me to keep the ring again. Will not be going back again. I did get the refund at least.

I unfortunately received extremely disgusting service today from the team at Michael Hill. I recently purchased some Cubic Zirconia earrings which had very loose backings. After receiving an email to provide feedback on the product, I made them aware of this issue so they could rectify it for future products produced. I was then contacted by Michael Hill to return to a store to have them looked at and have tighter backings fitted. Since receiving this advice from them, I have ended up loosing one of the backings to the earrings as I expected to happen. I returned to this store and was met with the most disappointing service from the team. I was immediately asked if the earrings were Diamond or not. As they were not Diamonds, they refused to provide me a service even after being instructed by Customer Care to return to store for assistance. The service this company provides to its paying customers is absolutely appalling. I seriously do not recommend at the very least that you purchase anything from this store if you ever expect support in the future with a faulty product

Encountered an extremely pushy sales lady today. This is not a great sales tactic. Staff should also not obviously override what sales people are actually listening and trying to be of service. I ended up leaving and was successful elsewhere.

I rarely leave bad reviews but after trying to resolve with the company directly, I feel the need to warn people about the lack of loyalty, empathy, and understanding we experienced. After almost a decade of loyalty to Michael Hill, getting our rings checked every 6 months for the diamond warranty we have been refused this warranty going forward because we were 2 weeks late on two occasions. Once due to being out of the country and once with a sick baby. No claim has been made we simply wanted the warranty to continue. Michael Hill showed no empathy towards our situation and instead more of our time was wasted after being given false hope by the store. We were told if we email our situation to Head Office then they could reinstate it however H/O passed the buck right back to the store so this was just a waste of time. Will not set foot back in a Michael Hill again and our Wedding Rings now have a tainted feeling linked to them.

Do not purchase the care plans that they offer, it is a con/scam. Supposed to cover resizing of the item over its lifetime.

Was scared to walk in here again, and sure enough I had a pushy saleswoman trying to close me on a ring before I'd even seen the whole selection. I've been in sales for many years and it's disappointing to see that they haven't figured out this isn't the best way to run a business anymore. Need to catch up with the times. Good service wins every time, which is why I bought from another store with better service.

My sister had gone there to have a look around and gets asked from one of the ladies working there for her occupation to apparently see what would be best in her price range . So rude to ask someone based off their appearance. You should never ask/judge someone what they do for a living. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable.
