Beautiful place, they let us in at 2:30 though about to close at 3. been here few times and we want to try something different. The arepa always good, chicken a bit salty and the pork was really salty. i think we would go back to ordering beef instead.
This is a carnivore delight. The ribs especially, the meat falls off the bone. We got the experience for $168.00 for three and did not regret it.
All in all a pretty good place to have Colombian BBQ. Meat were tender and have a nice BBQ smoky taste. All sauces go very well with the meats too. Big highlight is definitely the Tomahawk. First time seeing such a big piece of meat with bone cooked so well. It was tender, easy to chew and also juicy. Their beef knuckle is also good but next to the Tomahawk it is like comparing the girl next door to a supermodel. The pork and sausage is a little disappointing because both are a bit dry and not much taste. Restaurant is quite small and narrow but has comfy seats and nice decor. Staff are very nice, they introduced the food well and made sure we didn’t over order.
First time visiting this restaurant tucked away in Takapuna. Glad I had my local son with me to guide me to parking and then the restaurant. Our waitress was wonderful. We started with chicken skewers and the pork belly. Both delicious. Mains were a t-bone steak and costillas (beef short ribs). Portions are generous and came with a side and a sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. So much food we had to ask for containers to take food home. Our waitress brought us separate containers for the salads so they didn't wilt. She also provided tongs to pick the salad up. Just felt she went the extra mile for us. Highly recommend although someone told me earlier in the day it was expensive. This carnivore mum was delighted with the meal and thought excellent value for money.
Super awesome dining experience, esp if you're sitting in front of the bar. The chefs obviously have top-notch grilling skills as our steaks (Tbone and sirloin) came out perfectly medium well. The ambiance of the place is also great, truly feels like in Colombia! Also they fill up pretty quickly so will be good to reserve beforehand.
It was my third time here and I loved it just like the previous ones. The food was amazing, but it did have a longer wait than last time. I had the chicken and it was just perfect. It was juicy and well seasoned. The staff was friendly and polite. I would recommend calling to make a booking because he space is a bit small and it's always full
The food was amazing. Excellent presentation of meals and dishes. The Humero Experience is superb and strongly recommended if going in groups.
It is not very often that you come across a place that cooks a perfect steak the way these guys do. I will go back time and time again! Always order something different every time and always love it!
