   In 2023 I spent 1300+ dollars on an elliptical from torpedo seven which just before Christmas went pear-shaped. After Weeks of trying to get them to do something about it, I discover that they are not going to honour the consumer guarantees act with regards this. This is a great disappointment as I have purchased quite a number of things from them over the years. However this is the last piece of equipment I will ever buy from them. If I could give them less than one star I would. Okay, I can't see any method of replying to the company so I'll just amend this. "Our warranties team have responded to your case regarding your elliptical. Unfortunately, the item is no longer within its warranty period, and therefore, we are unable to assist with any repair costs. Based on the information provided, our team has advised that the issue appears to be related to the motor which controls the tension on the cross-trainer and may need to be replaced. The cost for a replacement motor is $45.00. Please note that this does not include the additional charge for a technician to come and install the motor. They have supplied the details of a tech that covers your location who can come and assess/repair the item. " This is what I received from your customer care people. Does it look like they're going to send someone around to fix it to you?

   The after sales support has been incredibly poor. Only wish i had read the reviews on Trustpilot. Spent a lot of money on a treadmill, only to be disappointed with the lack of clear instruction manual for setting it up, and now months later, multiple phone calls and emails, I'm still waiting for support from Torpedo 7 to get it setup correctly. Will not purchase anything from them again. 0800 number and the various email addresses I've been given have been an absolute waste of time. Date of experience: 13 December 2024

   I've ordered a Front XT brake online as a click and collect order. Upon getting home, I've noticed it's actually a rear brake and despite the Shimano box clearly stating it's a rear brake, torpedo 7 barcode was wrongly put on and labeled as front brake. Went back and explained the situation, returned the item and got another one sent over. Few days later replacement arrives and AGAIN it's the rear brake not the front brake. Same thing again, wrongly labeled box. Despite the previous staff member clearly explaining the reason for a return and typing it in the computer, someone messed it up again. Went back again and got my money back. All staff are not knowledgeable in any bike related products either. None. Having said that they were apologetic, polite and tried to get the issue resolved. Not sure who mucked up, but I am going back to Burkes Cycles instead !

   Two weeks before Christmas they had a cross trainer at $689.00. Boxing day the same one is now $849.00. It's not advertised as a special but it is still underhand letting people assume it's a cheap price.

   We ordered a treadmill from them. They said it would take 15 working days to deliver. 13 working days later, I chased them up because there was no sign they had made plans to deliver it. They'd forgotten about our order and sold all the treadmills. They said they'd get another one from another store, except I'd already rung that store and they didn't actually have any. So they gave me the run around while they kept our money for nearly 3 weeks while making no effort at all to complete the sale. It's also not accurate that customer services are "awaiting further information" from us - they've conceded they will need to refund our money but won't confirm when they'll get around to it.

   I enjoyed shopping at T7. I was looking for some new walking/trail shoes and their help in getting the right shoes for me couldn't be faulted. 20% off the retail price was an added bonus! Would definitely shop there again ☺️

   Torpedo 7 like any other. large with a goo enough selection of bike helmets which is what I was there for. Staff was quite helpful fetching variuous helemts from the back and helping out with a easy refund of previously purchased helmet. Very well placed with all the shops you need nearby.

   We bought a helmet and a kettle for camping. When we got to the counter we were served by someone who made no eye contact. My 2 boys bought a nutrient bar, when we opened it I read the label and it was not suitable for under 15 year olds. We were not warned. Maybe a bit more attention to customers would be good.
