“My first choice for shopping fruits and vegetables. Some fruits are not the freshest but okay if consumed within a couple of weeks. They used to have a very rude and dumb butcher a couple of years ago when I didn't want shop meat there, but now all are nice and friendly. Generally a nice place for produce and Asian foods.”

“Tasty Homely food Located right in the centre of the Auckland city CBD, just behind saravanaa bhawan , good option for vegetarian indian travellers. Food tastes yummy, just like indian street food, i felt like i am eating at my home.. kids loved the food too. Quite popular with locals. There is no dining place though, so you have to Take Away only. Qty is good and 1 dish is sufficient for 2 people ! Reasonably priced too !!”

“I always get the same thing, chicken fried rice and sweet n sour pork. Been going for15 years and the consistency is always perfect. I did try the ginger chicken once, if you love lots of ginger (chopped into matchsticks type) then u will like it, but it wasn't for me. The family that own it are not your typical Western customer service where small talk is expected (because they are busy cooking), but they show their service by fast and consistent delivery and I'm ok with that!”

We had the Indian style butter chicken, which is exactly what we’ve been looking for. Not too sweet! Perfect! And the fish masala. The fish was fresh and the curry was rich and smoky. “To eat an economical plus good and tasty Indian food, Rawat is the place where you should head too. I normally try the Non Veg combo with the choice of a non veg curry along with Naan and rice. The quantity is sufficient for a person. Naan is superb. As the name says, it's mostly a takeaway place, but there are few seats to help us for dine-in.”

“Heard about their speciality, blood sausages. While I enjoyed it, definitely an acquired taste. If it gets cold it's not as nice when it's warmed up and sitting in the warm soup. Good amount of side dishes as well and well worth the price for 2 people to share.”
