“Didn't stay, just visited. Lovely people, welcoming, will go the extra mile. Rooms are what you'd imagine in a fairy tale! Pretty, luxurious, lovely colours, sumptuous looking beds, bathrooms amazing. Rex is a fantastic cook, dinning room looks out to front, main road, lounge with comfortable sofa & chairs, fire place, decor rich & colorful, situated in middle of house with doors to a veranda for outside relaxing. This is a lovely old Villa, high ceilings, long entrance hallway with decor to match & Linda's art work gracing the upper walls. If you want something different than modern, this is it! They have regulars visiting, & even folk who work for a while in the area will live there. Enjoy.”

“What a gem! The staff is so kind and friendly, and it’s really clean. The location couldn’t be better, we enjoyed the peacefulness and the sunsets (amazing). Just outside of town with great views of the Waikato. The pool is a sweet treat, too! Bonus! They even had a space to plug in an EV! I hope more EV users find this lovely location. “I had read alot online before coming here and I must say they are very good hosts and although there could be a couple minor things worked on overall we've enjoyed a relaxing stay while we wait for our baby to arrive. The hotel offers accommodation for people who have family etc at the hospital and the free shuttle service to and from the hospital is great. Awesome staff very friendly and polite and not over bearing or intrusive at all. I recommend this motel/lodge to anyone looking for a relaxed no hassle stay.”

“Good value and recommended. There is a variety of units, with the tidy larger suites more suited for a longer stay. The beds are comfortable and the lighting variable depending on unit type. Room service is excellent and the units are kept clean. Bathrooms are good. We liked having a separate toilet. Toiletries, which are of high quality, get replaced daily”

“Room was clean and good sized. They took a deposit but I had never stayed there before and given it's proximity to the stadium they probably have some rowdy guests so the policy is understandable. Nice bathroom. I wanted a budget room and got it. I would stay there again. Five stars because anything less is considered derogatory.”
