We ordered several dishes but the big breakfast and small big breakfast was super yummy - well cooked and served quickly. The staff were lovely. A great play area for the children. “We walked in off the street with our 2 mokos. There was no hesitation about giving us the last table. The restaurant was so very busy but there was a very relaxed feel, despite their busyness. The attendents were friendly and engaging. There was an apology for the length of wait time but no apology was needed, the food was delicious, your service tops and the atmosphere was perfect. “Very unimpressed with the gradual but consistent decline of the quality of food from this bakery. Pies have almost got no filling in them. Club sandwiches lacking consistency . Too lazy to even put a slice of bread in to separate the two sandwiches, when approached about this she admitted it and re wrapped it and put back in. Just because they have rebranded as Te Kowhai Cafe, does not make them anybetter than the original. Give them a miss , if you want to try a amazing bakery. Head down to last roundabout towards wintec, truckstop Cafe.. absolutely amazing food everything.. consistently.”
