“Bunnies currently serves as both my workplace and education provider for my son. When I went for my first visit 2 years ago, I was impressed by the size of the learning environment and the welcoming atmosphere. But I knew I wanted to stay after talking with the people there. The staff are friendly, they listen and are supportive of every child and family that walk through their door. It is a place that inspires me everyday as a teacher. I love that I can watch my son grow and develop before my eyes, guided by incredible teachers who have taken the time to know him. Bunnies is a place you've got to see for yourself, to truly appreciate everything that makes it special.”

“A wonderful preschool. Our daughter attended for 2 years before school and she loved it. There is a lot of outdoors time, including a morning walk each day, and time spent with animals and on the farm. The teachers are all wonderful, and there is minimal staff changes which allows the children to be settled and safe. The children have a good routine, while still being allowed free time to explore and be themselves. I would recommend this preschool to anyone wanting independent, confident and kind children, as these are the attributes I believe Newstead Preschool teaches.”

“Active Explorers has been a wonderful second home for our daughter . Due to the pressure of lockdown , transitioning my daughter at the age of 9 months had its difficult moments as a mother but the Kaiako here at Active Explorers were flexible, understanding and supportive through the whole journey. My daughter is nearly 2 and still to this day love sending her here. I love to see her excitement every day , and her affection she shows to both her Kaiako and her peers.”

“Our kids are thriving at Campus Creche. We first started our son in Kowhai when we first moved to Hamilton in 2019 & felt immediately at home. The creche teachers became family & supported us through a really tough transition moving cities. Since then our son has moved through each centre & is almost off to school. Luckily we get to keep being part of the community with our daughter recently starting at Whekī. Other than the wonderful kaiako, we really love the huge outdoor spaces & nature-based play our kids get to experience.”

“Highly Recommend! Amazing ECE Centre!! Kids Cave is a wonderfully caring, family-owned centre that cares deeply about the children they look after and their families. I would recommend this centre in a heartbeat to anyone who values a positive environment where the children are given enriching play that is tailored to the children's needs and interests. Thoughtful play is provided for the children to help with the different stages of learning that they need. The centre owners are hands-on and take a genuine interest in each child's development and happiness. I am happy leaving my child in their care as I know they will be looked after. They have put their heart and soul into this centre, which shows through in their leadership of the teams. The centre manager helps create a happy, positive environment for the children and parents and takes any concerns we have and addresses them promptly from her wealth of knowledge and expertise. My child adores her teachers here and runs to give them a cuddle when she enters each morning. The teachers obviously have a great working relationship with one another, which filters down to the care they are able to collectively give to the children. Learning stories are written with lots of photos included that showcase the learning through play the children have been participating in, and have thought-out goals for the children with actions on how to achieve these goals for my child. Te Whaaraki, the New Zealand Curriculum for ECE children, can be seen in action through the planning and learning opportunities the teachers provide. Kids Cave provides all the food for the children, which is prepared and cooked onsite. My child loves the meals she has here, which are nutritionally balanced to meet her growing body needs. I give Kids Cave, Hamilton, a full 5 star review and highly recommend them to my family and friends. They are a centre who goes above and beyond looking after the children in their care.”

“The team at ArtMakers run a fantastic holiday programme that provides children with a creative outlet in an encouraging and inclusive environment. Our two children love having the opportunity to make a variety of art and crafts. A highlight is the drama block where they have the opportunity to showcase backdrops and costumes they have produced in a mini show. We have become regulars and would highly recommend this programme for other families.”

The smaller centre is lovely as it has created an environment where it is easy to form strong relationships between children and carers as well as other whaanau. “Our family joined LDA this year, and we've been made so welcome. Not having a foundation in dance, I have a lot of questions and the team do such a brilliant job of answering them - or preempting them with detailed communication. Our dancer is so happy to attend each week, adores her teacher and the friends she has made. She has shown growth in not only her dance but in her poise, confidence and desire to learn. The teaching is well structured and the teachers are passionate about their craft. The standards and rules within the studio environment help create a cohesive vibe - and the special dress up days are a highlight each term!”

“I can't speak highly enough of this daycare. I enrolled my little girl at 9 months and we were made to feel so welcome. The staff are incredible and I know my baby feels genuinely loved and cared for there. She gets excited when she arrives every morning and the Tahi room team are always there if I have any questions. We're unfortunately moving and the hardest part of making this move has been having to move my baby from Busy Bees. Having toured quite a lot of other daycares, we're well aware that not many are this attentive and caring about the kids. “This daycare is like a diamond in the rough. When we were looking for daycare options we must have googled and visited a dozen different daycares with no luck. Then we just happened to drive pass this little gem and thought "let's visit this one". We're so glad we did. Best daycare of the lot. Our son is learning so much and has such an amazing time.
