“I have used Compskill for information design and help with my computing. This is my number one place to go to for upskilling both my business writing and my computing skills. It is great to have a one stop shop for these things.”

“We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Active Explorers Rolleston. Our son started knowing very little English and was quite shy, but with the support and care from the amazing team – especially in the Pūrerehua Room – he’s grown so much in confidence. He’s made great friends, learned to communicate in English, and has felt truly included and valued every step of the way. The teachers and staff are kind, patient, and genuinely care about the kids and their family. We’re so grateful to every staff member for creating such a warm and supportive environment. Thank you for all you’ve done for kid – we’ll always remember this special time!”

“A fabulous place where children have so much fun and laughter learning together through play. The teachers are caring and supportive working closely with parents as the tamariki start their kindy journey. The environment is engaging with interesting set ups that allow creativity and imagination to flourish ! In the school holidays my little one was waking up asking “kindy day now , kindy day now “ - to me that says it all. Thanks Beckenham kindy team, you are awesome!”

“By far the the friendliest staff we have encountered at any kindi. Our young daughter really loved coming to this place. The staff takes really good care of the kids. We had to switch to Halswell Kidsfirst because its way closer to us. But we and our daughter really enjoyed her time at this kindi while she was there.”

“This is a great kindy. It has a huge outdoor area including a large covered area which is good for when it's raining. There are so many different activities set up to keep the kids busy. My daughter loves coming home with crafts she's made using the glue gun! The hours are perfect for my 4year old as she doesn't come home too tired and over stimulated!”

“All four of our children have attended Te Whare Rama Edinburgh Street, and we have loved the experiences they've had there. As a paediatric occupational therapist, I feel very passionate about places and spaces for children. Specific things I love about Te Whare Rama Edinburgh Street are the natural grass area, vege gardens, and trees outside, large sandpit and well-resourced outdoor play area, a side room for sensory regulation inside, and consistent routines that provide structure to the children's days in amongst the free play opportunities provided. The staff have always been skilled, kind, and patient with the children, and I have valued how faith-based teaching has been interwoven through my children's early education years. Highly recommend!”

    Halswell Nest Early Learning Centre

“We moved from Auckland to Christchurch and our son was at Halswell Nest for 2 years. In that time it’s hard to articulate how amazing for him, and our family the centre was to us. The teachers are absolutely awesome, they encourage the children to explore, and do lots of outings with the kids, even if it’s down the road to the park, to the library or even to the supermarket for baking supplies. I really valued the smaller numbers, home-away-from-home vibe, the caring nature of the team, as well as their experience. I also liked that all ages were in together, which allowed our son to learn to interact with kids of all ages. They do have a separate space for younger children but encourage play across age groups. It was with reluctance we left to head away again, but we will never forget our time there and people we met. The owners and teachers really supported us through the pandemic, we felt cared for and supported. Thanks team! All the best :-)”
