“Approxmetly 8.43pm 29/12/25. Such wonderful service this evening from Wendy. I went to queue and she dropped what she was doing to ask me to come to the desk so she could serve me. I had a bag of kettles and a 90L Sistema storage container. She asked me how my day was and if I had a busy Xmas. She was very easy to engage with after a long day at work. She discussed about the great price of the Sistema containers and may have mentioned that, at that price you could get two! It was indeed good value and her upsell almost made me buy another one. I will discuss with my wife this evening and may come back and buy another two. Keep this wonderful wahine on, she is very motivated and an asset to your store!”

“Enrolling my son in this Kindy was the best decision I’ve made for him. We moved from another centre (after visiting a few before that) and from the moment we walked in to Selwyn St Kindy we were made to feel so welcome; all staff immediately engaged with me, my son and my younger daughter too. Communication has been excellent, both in person and through the online platform, we always know what’s happening day to day. The kindy has a great large outdoor space and a beautiful and engaging indoor space. The teachers go above and beyond, embracing the strengths of families and celebrating the diverse community. What I love most is the genuine love and energy for the children, they truly put kids first and always take the time to comfort and listen to the children and their needs. They do it all, so many wonderful opportunities for the kids, they seek out interesting learning opportunities They sing with the kids, bake, use lots of te reo, actively teach about managing emotions, I really cannot fault them. It’s the kindy I wish all kids could have!”

“The staff played a crucial role in my son's transition from his previous Best Start program. Their friendly and welcoming demeanor made the process easy and helped him make new friends. The activities and programs for the kids are well-prepared and provide a lot of useful information for parents. “Waka Huia is the most wonderful place, very child-centred and in a calm/ relaxed/ family environment. Different aged kids all play together, the big kids look out for the little ones, lots of tuakana-teina opportunities. The kaiako are awesome educators, highly experienced and genuinely loving and kind. My daughter has grown a lot under their gentle guidance. She loves the animals (chickens and visiting lambs), outside play year round, cups of tea, dress-ups and treasures (shells, wool) to play with.”

“We started at Lalaga preschool just about two years ago now, with my first and then my second. What a beautiful community we have found ourselves in! I don’t feel like I’m just dropping my kids off with no relationship with the teachers, they have truely been like “Aunties” to our kids. The communication is so thorough , immersing in another culture for my boys has been so liberating . I especially have enjoyed the wonderful end of year productions the kids and teachers put on. It’s been lovely meeting other family’s, and I can’t wait to continue to see my children Grow in the love under there care ! fa'afetai Lalaga and staff for providing a great space for our kids to thrive !!”
