“This school is very good!! Students and teachers are everyone so kind, we can get free coffee from kitchen and we have a comfortable space to conversation with friends:)”
“I attended this school from 2006-2011 which was a very long time ago but I think it is a very good school, I remember we had a History day where we learnt about Riverhead and had to dress up in Clothing of the time period of the earlier settlers and the teachers put so much effort into it, it really felt like we wentback in a time machine. The point of that long story is because I think they put so much effort into all the events or special days like Pizza day/ Sushi Day/ Rewards day/ Water sports day/ Mufti Days/ Coin Trails. It was a very long time ago that I attended this school but I think it is a wonderful school based on my past experiences... Not sure what it's like today though.”
“Very good school. My daughters did very good there”
“Good school for special needs children”
“I’ve known TPCS since I was a kid. My son goes there and he begs me never to move him he has made so much friends and loves all the teachers. I love how it’s not over crowded with students my son get more one on one interactions with the teacher and it’s a massive benefit for all students. The strict protocols are great my son has learnt to prioritise study and playtime and getting the parents to be more proactive in a child’s life is a great boost for us.”
“2Mar17 In 1993 my wife and I brought our son here for his first day of school; 23 years later I am back with my two of my son's daughters. The five year old started school four weeks ago. It is a great little school. Still out in what Kiwi's call "the country" (rural) on a margin of the nearby urban housing areas. Now as with almost all schools this one has a perimeter fence around with locked gates to prevent entry/exit during school hours. I see more ethnic diversity than 25 years ago. And more prefabs.”
“It's an amazing school, and I think it may be one of the best high schools on the north island. Firstly, its NCEA pass rate is high as a PRIVATE SCHOOL. Secondly, it's in an amazing location. You feel like u are in the countryside from all the breathtaking views. Lastly, all the teachers at the school teach from heart, and it really shows how much they care for the students. In conclusion, it is an astonishing, high achieving school that I think is highly underrated.”
“Great school with nice learning environment. Good communication from school and let us know what’s happening and how the kids are performing. Reasonable amount of homework and tests to keep studying on track.”
“It is a good school for your kids”
“You can beat it for learning discipline, core strength techniques and self defence, all wrapped up into a beautiful art steeped in history. Its the best martial arts class and team you can find and many true Karate traditions are maintained. The team have many many years experience and very accommodating to both experienced and novice students. Ages 5 and up, even parents giving it a go. Awesome!”
“I am a year 6 and I am 9 years old and going to a different school next year.”
