“My son attended Saplings at around 1 year old. He has lots of fun and enjoys every moment there. He especially enjoyed the creative arts and crafts projects, which fostered a love for learning and creativity. He also loves playing at the sandpits which is very spacious and full of resources. The warmth, professionalism, and dedication of the staff have made a lasting positive impact on my son’s development and creativity. Thanks everyone at Saplings to help transforming my son from a shy baby boy to a confident toddler. Saplings is my son’s second home and we are glad that we picked the best daycare for him. The transition from kindy to school went smoothly for my now school aged daughter but I know will be the same with my 4 year old. I’d recommend Waitakere kindy to anyone!”

“My first child joined when he was around 11 months old, we were obviously nervous and didn't really know what to expect. We were put at ease when our son settled in really well. All of the teachers have been consistently lovely the entire time we've been there (1.5 years now), always taking the time to talk to us if we have any questions or concerns, and just friendly in general. They seem calm and happy when we drop off and pick up, and we feel confident our child is in good hands. The owner is also calm and present at the centre and is also always approachable for any questions/concerns. The pricing is also very affordable. We are so grateful that we have had such a good experience at Happy Kids!”

“I can’t speak highly enough of Shining Stars . It has been an absolute blessing for our whānau. The ECC teachers go above and beyond for our tamariki, showing incredible patience, compassion, and dedication to teaching them so much more than I ever expected. They nurture not just learning but also confidence, curiosity, and kindness. I love how they celebrate every child’s uniqueness and encourage them every step of the way. The themed days like Wheels Day are always a hit with the kids, and it’s clear the teachers put a lot of thought and care into creating fun, educational experiences. From hatching chickens to learning how make use of eggs , gardening, baking, cooking ,the hands-on learning is just beautiful to witness. My little ones are always coming home with new knowledge and stories to share. It gives me peace of mind knowing they’re in such a safe, caring, and inspiring environment. I currently have both my youngest enrolled, and I honestly feel so lucky to have found Shining Stars when I did. Each morning drop-off comes with a little sadness, knowing we’re one day closer to saying goodbye when they move on to primary school. A special thank you to Mandy and Liz who always provide thoughtful updates and feedback about what the kids are learning and how we can keep it going at home. “A well run well resourced small centre. The teachers are caring and attentive, the whole family feels welcome when we do drop offs and pick ups. A lot of opportunities for messy and creative play. Regular updates and photos. Children spend a lot of time outdoors. Unfortunately, winter bugs are very common among under twos but that’s the case in all centres, especially post-covid.”

“The nursery class attached to a private school for children aged 0-2 years old? The walls are high and mysterious, and you can't see inside. The privacy is very good. You have to wait in line to be admitted.”

“This was the best Day Care in Auckland. The team were loving and caring towards all the kids. I was very disappointed when they had to shut down due to water damage from the floods. They were a great asset to the area and to the kids. Hope all the team and families have found new daycares as good as this place was.”
