Mercedez Benz Hawkes Bay are a fantastic team. Always very understanding and accommodating. The level of workmanship is very good.
The General Manager leapt on my initial email inquiry within 60 seconds like a 'starving dog'. When I then rang him he low-balled my trade and told me if I wanted more I could forget about to which I said okay. He then text me maybe he could get more and he would 'genuinely' try. He txt me a 2k better bid an hour later and then like many unskilled and opportunistic sales people he never followed up. Spencer Pallesen was arrogant, rude and completely unpleasant to deal with. Spencer you blew a 50k sale for your company by not doing your job properly or with a shred of professionalism or visible integrity. I have now bought another vehicle (Mercedes of course) for a much lower price and received the same trade-in value as you failed to follow up on. After 40yrs in Sales I can confidently say your behavior was below standard for a premium brand dealership (or any dealership). PS The one star isn't for you or Ingham's it's for the brand which you so poorly represented. PPS I have documented our interactions and I can prove the chain and content of events that have created my opinion.
After the service, the car was enjoyable to drive and ran smoothly. Plus I learnt something new about how to use my car thanks to Spencer and the team.
Always a pleasant experience here and Amy is always so friendly and helpful. Even when delivering the sobering news about your service, she makes you feel grateful! All in all - the best customer service I've experienced in a long time.

Prompt, friend and efficient service and included the use of a loan car. The recall for a software update and wiring loom replacement was carried out very quickly.
Service was ok, however first point of contact was useless. Did not provide right information and didn't know any answers to questions asked. In my opinion this outsourced call centre is ruining your reputation.

I have bought may cars over the years, Volvo's, BMW's, etc. but this Mercedes dealership lead by Spencer is absolutely outstanding. From buying to service, nothing is too much for them. I had an issue with the electrics on my new car. I dropped it in for repair, got a brand new loan car and I have been updated daily on the progress of mine. Seriously impressed. I live 21/2 hours drive away but it certainly is worth the effort. Thank you team.
