Very clean, quiet, spacious and cost-effective campground. Karen was super friendly and welcoming. We had a spot with a beautiful view, 2min from the sandy beach. Can definitely recommend it.

Fantastic friendly spot on the beach. We spent one night only but it's tranquillity amazed us, the beach is so close and nice. Facilities and clean. The Staff is so friendly and helpful they even sent after us our stuff we left behind!! many thanks again, it will be a stable spot on our next trip !
Great services, the amenities blocks were very clean, had everything you needed and loved the covered BBQ area. After spending a few hours taking photos and talking to locals, it was clear that this is a close community with everyone having an inner connection to each other and the land. When I checked in with Ed, I felt like part of the family, and we had a good yarn about photo opportunity spots. The beach is fantastic, and this campground has made it on my top return list.
It's a real old school camping experience. The owners are awesome and the sites are huge. The beach is stunning. If going there I would stock up as it's a bit of a drive to Hastings. There is a country store in town with good fish n chips

We’ve spent our summer at many campgrounds and this one has the most facilities yet. Everything was clean and the managers are very friendly. There are undesignated unpowered camping sites on the beach side of the facilities and powered sites on the other. The beach side can be very windswept as there’s no windbreak. It’d be great if the managers plant trees between the holiday park and public domain to provide shade, privacy and wind shelter. The beach is a short walk from the camp and the waimaramara store is approximately a 5 minute walk away. The camp has a laundry, hot showers, kitchen facilities and playground. Peta are allowed. This is a family friendly park. My favourite unique feature of this park is the office which apparently used to be the old Napier Air Traffic Control tower.
Beautiful beach, friendly staff and very clean camping. Would be back again when possible.
