Stayed here often as its always clean and rooms are a good size. Parking is available on site and if you dont have a car its an easy 5 minute walk and you are smack bang in town. Nice to have the complimentary biscuits too.
Nice place to stay. Clean and tidy rooms. Quiet area of the city. A short downhill walk into the main city centre. The staff we spoke to were very friendly.
This Motel had everything you could want for a stay and more. I usually sleep with a fan and even a fan was provided. I requested a ground floor studio unit and everything was clean and inviting. The shower was great and the toiletries provided plentiful. Great stay. Definitely recommend this property.
Pro's: Good location walking distance to city centre Con's: Rooms are very dated, furniture extremely worn, bed soft / saggy, seat on toilet loose and slips around. In addition to this there was no soap for shower (not even a pump both pumps in shower had conditioner), no milk provided and very loud pipe water noises throughout day & night from other rooms
We stayed here for 2 nights. We had not not booked we just rocked up and asked if they had a room. Only thing was it does have double glazing but we could still hear a lot of noise though the night Place was very tidy and neat. Room was serviced each day Staff was very friendly Thanks you Guys We will be back in Dunedin and we will be staying there again
Large comfortable rooms, expensive but it is winter tourist season and close to city centre. Water pressure in shower isn't great, but plenty of hot water which is awesome. No laundry in room but has coin operated washers and dryers laundry downstairs. Parking on site but not undercover. Young lady in the office was very nice, friendly and informative. Walking distance to restaurants and things to see and do. Do give this place your attention when looking for somewhere to stay.
Horrible staff. Very rude and nasty. After having some guests visit our room, we were told to leave. On return about an hour later, our swipe cards would not give access to our room. We were locked out and left to sleep in the cold all night. We could not reason with the staff, they had no empathy for locking us out and would not even give us access to our belongings. I had important medication in the room which I was unable to take. This absolutely ruined our trip. How dare they lock us out with no warning. Apparently it was a "life lesson" for us... I certainly learnt that there are some truly awful people in this world. We will never be back here
First time staying here and it was an enjoyable experience. The room was clean and roomy. The only thing I could have a negative about would be the shower was risen up and being on crutches it was a little harder to get in as there are no steps to get up to it. But I do appreciate that they moved us around to be able to get a ground floor room. But overall I would stay there again and recommend this motel to both friends and family. And an added bonus was they supply Netflix which is good to keep the kids entertained on a wet day.
Would 100% recommend this motel. The room is clean, a generous size & really comfortable. We had a room at the back of the property & it was really quiet. I made an error booking the room and the staff helped me fix it quickly.
