Great spot to go running whether its around the sports fields or the concrete paths or adventuring up and over the hills past the cemetery where you can get some awesome vantage points. There is different exercise stations set up along the way too. Awesome for walking the kids and dogs. We love coming here as a family.
Stunning environment to take our Hounds - does get very wet, but just a brilliant place to walk.
Tangi was held here. Very clean, ample parking. Lvly send off. Beautiful stunning day.
A lovely quiet place for a walk, with ups and downs around the hills ,and diverse trees and shrubbery. Always an interesting experience. People walking their dogs, and families getting exercise. Lovely Autumn colors. With supporters following their soccer teams.
Great recreation park for all sorts of kids and adults games
Potentially a great asset. Pity the waterways don't drain and are pretty much like open sewers. The smell alone should make it clear to park users that dogs playing in the open drains run the risk of serious disease .
Visited here over Labor Weekend 2022 for the Napier City Rovers U19 Youth Football Tournament. If you are a football fan, this is an enjoyable, well run event.
Excellent layout of the whole Park Island district at the current time. Though could go even better. How do I know this? Easy My family used to Mix farm the area with Pigs and cows from the late 50's till 1980. I grew up in this area and know the wildlife and terrain plus the history, even bfore the 1931 earthquake.
