What an amazing park! So much wildlife, the birds were amazing. Was a little disappointed that a sign warning of toxic bloom in lake was a small sign hidden away from main access, we had a dog with us and honestly there should be more warnings
Huge trees, several small lakes, a large variety of birds, good paths and scenic pedestrian bridges. Also large open space and provisions for disc golf if you have a disc.
It’s such a beautiful park and an amazing community resource. Brilliant for dogs with a huge off lease area and free poo-bags. So many lovely mature trees for shade, and if you have kids there’s an excellent playground. Top spot
Great place to let the kids run wild. They have a little train track that runs on some Sundays. And a big playground with many different things to do
The grandkids loved it. Just need to be careful if the big kids are staying up top of the rocket. As the little kids don't like going up there at the same time.
This is a big park with lots of room to roam around. There is a great playground, the best in Napier. There is a lake which swans including black swans, a place for model stream engines suitable for riding. It's a great place for jogging, cycling, scootering, and skating. There's a skatepark area, and there are some nice bridges across the stream. It's a great place for picnics.
Nice park with large open grass fields and a couple of large duck ponds. Shared walking and cycling track around the outside and plenty of parking off Kennedy Road. There is a skatepark, playground and public toilet in the South end by the Auckland Road carpark. There is even a miniature railway in the Southwest corner by the Scout Den. Popular spot to go for a walk or run.
Best park because there is something for the entire family including the dogs. Walking path for the adults to get some exercise in or brisk walk and sit by the pond observing the ducks, once on the other side of the path dogs are free to play. There is age appropriate sections of the park from smaller children to older. Skate park for, half basketball court as well as a splash pad. Decent toilet facilities, free bbq and hut with ample seating. There’s a chlorinated water filter towards the scouts hall. Generous parking to.
Great venue. Awesome walking & biking tracks. Fabulous playground for the kids - and pretty good toilets, bonus. It just needs more seating, especially around the playground.
