   We stayed in Dunedin for three days and found ourselves at Tuppence Cafe for breakfast, tea, and coffee each morning of our stay. The food was spectacular and the environment and staff were warm, welcoming, and friendly. Definitely stop here!

   Tuppence is a delightful cafe to visit, with welcoming and helpful staff. They are open to ideas and suggestions, and have a good range of delicious food. Today I made a special trip there for lunch just to try their 'Biscoff Pancake Delight', which is 3 pancakes layered with creamy, delicious, Biscoff cream cheese filling and topped with Biscoff infused Mascarpone, berry compote, Biscoff drizzle and finished with Biscoff crumb. Total indulgence food, and for me today, comfort food. I can't wait to see what they will introduce us to in the future.

   Lovely little cafe, with very nice staff. I will definitely be dining in again. I got the salmon eggs benedict. Delicious! I also liked how the ingredients/allergens are written out under each cabinet food item. Good to know for us people with food allergies, much appreciated!

   I have not been to tuppence before but my mother suggested we go there together today for lunch, as she has been herself multiple times. When we arrived, the cafe was currently operating at half capacity due to staff shortages. That is no problem, but what was below standard was the service and the lack of greeting. Staff (a young woman) did not greet us hello and when I looked down into the closed part of the cafe all she said was “that part is closed, we don’t have enough staff to service it”. Understandably, staffing shortages happen, but the approach was unprofessional. There was no greeting, no care in the explanation or effort made to look after us as customers. We walked in, and walked back out again. Do not recommend.

   Great spot, amazing coffee and food. The “bedside manner” could be improved however. No Wifi. Pretty expected these days especially in a town with many international travellers. No indoor seating on an extremely windy Tuesday afternoon.

   Best cafe we have been to recently in Dunedin! Great location & view, we went up to Rotary park afterward for a great lookout! Great Allpress coffee, and really amazing food! The staff were friendly and accommodated my prevent wife's dietary requirements at a busy time, the atmosphere was spot on. We would definitely return, especially for the salmon & pulled pork. EDIT: We returned. It was great. New photos attached.
