   First (and last) time at this establishment. Had the Chicken Diane…. Chicken seemed to have been boiled and no seasoning at all. Diane sauce was not Diane sauce it was grey and vinegary tasting, the chips were mixed in with that sauce, the huge salad had no dressing whatsoever… was really disappointed. The beer was nice and cold though.

   Stopped in for lunch on the go. Ordered scotch fillet, but they had a big function that night so it was unavailable, settled for sirloin instead. Then I asked for the pepper sauce (or Dianne sauce can't remember) but that was also unavailable so ended up having red wine jus. Ordered a Heineken zero, but didn't have that either. Staff were great, the food itself was really tasty and good quality.

   Was in Napier for business and went to the Pavillion the birds, as it was next door to where I was staying. Ordered the bbq bourbon chicken wings as a starter and a sirloin steak medium rare. The wings came out really quick, which I thought was quite fast. Bit into the first wing and it was pink and bloody! The waitress came over to check how my starter was, so I showed her, the response I got was “ that’s not good “. The steak came out and it was well done, which I told her it’s not what I ordered. The waitress nor the chef came over to apologise. Absolutely disgusting food and service!!!

   Slow cooked beef shortribs were tender with a delicious red wine jus. Porterhouse steak lacked in the flavor department, and accompanying salads were below average. Would recommend going here for drinks, snacks and a game of pool rather than a restaurant meal.

   Don't waste your money here! Loved the fact you could order via QR code at the table. Service was OK. BUT they got our drinks order wrong despite ordering it online. Kids cheese burger was dry and bland with no veggies either in the burger or on the side. Steaks were very over cooked and had to be sent back. Food was burne - It was really obvious with the (tasteless) nachos too, but they were served to us anyway. We had chicken nachoes and the chicken was drowned in wholegrain mustard, which wasnt specified on the menu, and my hubby hates, so they tasted quite unpleasant. The lamb confit was also burned, but fortunately it tasted OK...unlike the poor cremated veggies...

   Nice spot for a drink, with their own brewed beer and cider (cider being their focus) which were yum. Service was good, with nice spacious seating arrangements. But food was just ok, more pubby less restaurant.

   Nice location and decor. Mediocre service at best. Lady serving us just wasn't interested. Food is priced well but is average. Nachos were borderline burnt and pasta lacked any kind of flavor. Suspect people are only visiting because of the location and the association with Three Wise Birds. I hope management gears up or this place might meet the same fate as the last 2. I wouldn't be returning anytime soon and cannot recommend to others.
