On the plate at Rosie O'Grady's Napier, the idea is burger-led and well executed. A family‑friendly feel comes through naturally. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Combinations read bold but stay balanced. Portions are generous yet well judged.
Staff did well keeping up with a relatively full pub. Kitchen was overwhelmed with the the numbers. Need to get used to the fact that the Irish dishes have gone. Guiness pie, Irish stew, bangers and mash are history replaced with burgers and deep fry stuff. Do not try the Schnitzel you will regret it.
We have been there 2 nights in a row. The service was outstanding and the meals were delicious. They were very busy on the Saturday night (8/2). The newly appointed bar manager and his staff kept us very well informed how long our wait would be. Definately recommend going there.
The back garden very nice setting on a warm evening. We both had the lamb shank, cannot rate it high enough. Superb. Staff were very good, not in your face but there enough that you never had to wait long. Overall a very enjoyable evening.
Attended a special function here and it was the perfect venue! Lots of atmosphere, cosy, great service and really yummy pizzas.
Can’t rate this Irish pub high enough. The heritage building has been brought to life with an Irish atmosphere and vintage decor. The staff are welcoming and extremely friendly whilst keeping a professional manner. The food menu is extensive and dishes are delicious. We were lucky enough to experience the new art deco bar next door called “the Provincial bar” which has another style, being a wine and cocktail bar, with 1920s decor and a menu with so many surprises.
Great place. Awesome ambiance, feels like you are in Dublin. The pasta was just lit. The spicy burger was nice. The overall experience was really different and interesting. It's definitely a good dining spot.
Great place! Beautifully decorated and staff is wonderful. They have town history that’s really interesting too. Check it out!
