Nice small park, has a see-saw and swings for the kids and public toilets with a water fountain. The park has a small walking track which connects the car park to the top of White Wash Head Road.
Nice walk up from Sumner. Plenty of seats in the park and shade. Swings and seesaw for the kids. Toilets and water at the top. Great views along the way and at the top. Plenty of parking too. Great spot!
An easy walk-up from the beach. Lovely spot for a picnic or just relaxing. Grass area, playground, toilets available..if driving the carpark is close so it's easy to access. Water tap available for filling dog bowl. The Flower Track walk is close by too.
Very nice, quiet, park with an easy trail to a beautiful clifftop lookout!
Good views
Stunning views over Scarborough and right out to the Southern Alps on clear day. We went in winter and you'll definitely warm up walking the Flowers Track to get there but it's well worth it. Kids play area and restroom up there too. Beautiful gnarly old eucalyptus and some odd Dr Seuss looking succulents as well.
Gorgeous view of Sumner beach. Good amount of sunlight & blue sky although in early days of winter. Bit of walk to get up there but well worth it in the end.
It's a nice park at the hill. It might be more fun if u go by walk using tracking way. Got nice view of summner beach. Sunset was so beautiful form peak.
Nicholson Park provides great views over Sumner and a small playground (good swings and a slide) for kids with an amazing scenic backdrop. There was a baby basket swing, too. The vegetation in the park is being worked on since the days of neglect after the earthquakes. Paths down from the carpark to the centre of the park, then to the east, link up with Flowers Track zig zagging down the hill, and Whitewash Head Road, to make a 30 minute loop walk from the park, or could be walked upwards from The Sumner Lifeboat area.
