   It's a lovely trip from Christchurch to Diamond Harbour on the ferry - cheap, or even free for some. Once there, you can go on a few walks along the Coastal Cliff Reserve. The tracks are not particularly well marked, and should not be undertaken unless you are sure of foot. Would probably be a problem in wet weather. Poorly signposted, unfortunately, and it would be easy to take a wrong turn. So be careful. However, the views are lovely and it's a great day trip from Christchurch.

   Nice spot. A lot of campervans in the carpark. So must be a greatvspot to overnight. Public toilets and great walks and scenery.

   A serene and picturesque spot, delightfully uncrowded even on weekends, perhaps a hidden gem cherished by locals. The coastline offers a mostly flat and narrow road (which can extend to > 2hrs return), perfect for leisurely strolls, with occasional glimpses of climbers tackling the cliffs.

   Cruising around from Lyttelton thru to Governor's Bay and on to Parau beach,beautiful scenic views. Plus jump in the water and get some muscles and Paua's.
