   One of my favourite beach in Christchurch. The cave rock and the sumner village are all close by. Being local travel guide. I would highly recommended this unique beautiful stunning beach village to enjoy. The beach can be just a stroll along the Esplanade or the flowers trace with a bit of hiking. Or just happy to soak up the lovely beach atmosphere. Whatever make you happy, this is the beach for you.

   Sumner Beach is a great place for a morning walk watching the sunrise. Walk from Sumner towards Redcliffs and reward yourself with a coffee at Scarborough Fare and perhaps breakfast before walking back.

   Busy beach.. Signs were confusing about dogs. No dogs apparently.. then see dogs everywhere not on leads. Still nice for a visit.. cafes, icecreams and hot chips nearby.. Don't mind the naked guy showering g in public.. harmless..
