Mt Vernon's Dry Ridge Track and Mt Vernon Farm Track. Both tracks offer a challenging, highly rewarding climb up the Port Hills with spectacular panoramic views over Christchurch. This is an excellent, adventurous way to get some farm time and city views. The main trailhead is at Hillsborough Terrace. There are no toilets at the track entrance, but public facilities are available a quick 2-minute drive away. If tackling these exposed tracks in winter, good quality shoes are essential as they can get very muddy and slippery. Pack well with water and always respect the farm animals you may encounter.

This is a great place for a walk on a nice day. There are several different routes you can take, all well marked and easy to follow. You can see people walking the RΔpaki track on your left. Love coming here with my dog, just make sure if you bring yours it's under effective control as there are heaps of sheep around.

Nice walkway. I used valley track carpark and walked valley track and emerged to Rapaki. Just took 40mins. And going down to valley track, it will be fine but pretty tough in the end.

Great view over Christchurch and Lyttelton. The track is good too if you have lung capacity and your legs don't turn to jelly after 10 metres.

Really beautiful park especially when it's misty / rainy. Can find rock climbing spots, some cool pools of water, mushrooms and usually sheep.

Walked up the farm track which was very exposed, should have worn more sunblock. Dogs under effective control.

Great place for a bit of trail running. Technical ups and downs or fast ups and downs, your choice.
