   My wife’s favorite spot in Christchurch. We make the drive up Dryer’s Pass every visit. Great views of both sides of the Port Hills and just enough of a climb to make you feel like you’ve done something memorable.

You can find gentle, paved paths perfect for leisurely walks or family outings, as well as steeper, more rugged tracks for those seeking a more intense workout. Be prepared for varied terrain, including gravel, dirt, and some rocky sections, so choose your footwear accordingly. Parking: You can find numerous entry points and car parks.. Many trails offer panoramic views, from the cityscape to the Canterbury Plains, and out towards the Southern Alps on a clear day.    A windy road going up Dyers Pass or Port Hills takes you to a few viewpoints and tracks where you can see a vista of either Christchurch City or the harbour on the other side. There's also a slightly steep but doable walk going up to the back of Christchurch Gondola which will reward you with the same breathtaking views (with some effort involved!). Would recommend if you're after a nice quiet day away from the hustle and bustle of city life! Just be careful of cyclists on your way there as they share the road as well :)

   This is a must do when visiting Christchurch, the view from the summit is something else! Only a short drive from the city, there are plenty of walking and biking tracks here along with multiple lookout spots. Just a note keep an eye out for cyclists as the roads are tight and twisty in many locations. If your unsure where this is exactly look the tallest cell tower, the carpark is 1min from there.
