   Good place for scenic views over Christchurch. There's a beautiful building which houses a cafe at the end of the walk. Toilet facilities are available. Plenty of street parking is also available. Google will most likely say "you have arrived" right in the middle of nowhere. You will see steps that you can take to reach the viewpoint (5 minutes), alternatively, you can keep driving a bit further until you see the entrance to the track.

   Known as Sign of the Takahe, except I never seen any Takahe up here in my life. Great views, unfortunately no longer do their famous Devonshire Teas. Current restaurant downstairs I give a miss.

   A nice heritage building is near the lookout site, which is on top of a concrete water tank. The lookout is a few minutes walk from the heritage building. The view of Christchurch and the countryside is great, though it wasn't a clear day when I visited. On a clear day the lookout should be great, and well worth a visit. The heritage building has a cafe, and serves snacks and drinks. Thank you.

   Cashmere Hill Lookout is a great place to get a view of the Christchurch city. It was peaceful there in the evening, although at this time it was really cold and windy.
