    Friendly service. Smell of old oil whenever chippy fired up was gross. Small portions of chips for the price and they were dry and didn't taste fresh. Fish didn't seem fresh and batter was chewy. I suspect that because our visit was in mid March that the oil was not getting changed enough at end of tourist season. Great location. Burger underwhelming.

    I found the fish wasnt fresh, the chips & crabstick tasted stale, $7 chips seemed like $3 scoop, a total rip, the sausage wasnt that bad but overall based on the positive reviews it wasn't really an enjoyable experience.

There are seats outside while you wait, and then you can choose whether to eat there or take your fish and chips to Little Oneroa Beach, which is less than one minute's walk away to enjoy the view. The food is good - the chips and fish batter are crispy, and everything is nice and hot. Don't forget your favourite sauce!     I was told the fish n chips are good here... Unfortunately not... Fish has no seasoning at all..not even salt.. full of deep fried oil dripping... And guess what, no fish sauce along with it to eat... Worst fish I tried ever... Don't really know if the fish was fresh or not.. can't comment on that ..
