   Absolutely loved our experience at Punting on the Avon! Our tour guide John the Irish legend himself, was amazing. He made the whole ride both educational and entertaining, sharing fun stories and history while keeping everyone laughing. We also loved the beautiful photo taken after the tour, such a great souvenir of a perfect day. Highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting Christchurch!

   Had an amazing time punting on the Avon River. The scenery was beautiful and our guide Chris was the highlight. He’s funny, shares facts in the most interesting way, and makes the whole ride feel special. Definitely recommend him!

   This was a profoundly fun experience. Highly recommended as a tourist attraction. We had Shane as our punter and he definitely made the trip memorable. The boat ride was very comfortable and felt very safe the whole time. The commentary and guided tour was exemplary, the customer service at the entrance was amazing. The wild life on the trip is very fun to see from gigantic eels, to the ducks and the mesmerising trees. Carve out some time for this wonderful experience.

   Very historic, old but what a chance to row up the Avon. You will need some muscles, and might get a bit wet, but the workout is easy, peace and ducks relaxing. Coming down thru the green gardens with the flow one of most relaxing feelings. Cafe a squiss, tight spot, bit small, views over river one of the few in chch, good great and again access for wheel chairs going to be tricky. Indoor and outdoor. Window river seat the best

   Wow, what a fabulous activity to have in the heart of the city! A number of Punt boats go down the Avon River, guided by young gentleman dressed in the European/English style, to give some authentic vibes to the experience! Charlie was our 'punter' a very friendly young chap, and very knowlegable about the Botanical Gardens we floated beside, as well as all the variety of birds and Ducks on the river! The tour lasts around 1/2 hr, and worth every dollar!

   Great relaxing hour. Beautiful surroundings, great ambience. Good introduction by guide to the plants and mostly ducks. Seats were comfortable although the bottom of the boat is shallow to the seats, so those with knee problems just need to take care sitting down. The noon wind was quite cold walking up to the shed but it felt like the wind was largely blocked out through the trip, and they also give warm lap blankets. Didn't get a chance to kayak but it looked do-able even on a pretty cold day and without any fancy gear. Bought these tix with the tram combo, was a good deal especially with the hotel giving us additional discount vouchers, so check if your hotel has them!

   We turned up not knowing that we should have booked in advance We were accommodated later on in the day, which was great. This gave us plenty of time to walk around the city then have a bite to eat at the Cafe next door. The punter was very informative, the trip itself very relaxing.
