   Every time I travel, this is one of the places I never miss. The food here is authentic, delicious, and reminds me so much of home. The portions are very generous, and the prices are really reasonable for the quality and size you get. What I love most is that it truly feels like eating in Malaysia — the flavors are rich, comforting, and bring back so many memories. On my way back, I always make sure to takeaway some food to take home because it’s just that good. If you’re craving real Malaysian food with great value and heartwarming taste, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

   Old Street Asian Hawker Food was one of the best meals we had in New Zealand! We ordered the Char Bee Hoon and Bak Kut Teh, both were delicious, especially the Bak Kut Teh. Huge portions, affordable prices, and fast service. Highly recommended!

   A small but quaint restaurant. Fast and accommodating service. The moment a table became clear, it was cleared and occupied by another customer quickly. It makes for a good & fast turnover of customers. My meal: I always get drawn to a wonton noodle soup wherever I go. The soup came out steaming and by the time I got through it / it was still hot-warm. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu is affordable. I loathe the “fusion” menus which are expensive for less. I would definitely come back again when I pass thru.

   Came here first time with my son. The Wonton Noodle Soup was so delicious. Generous portions of wontons. Tasty noodles. Later visited by myself for the second time. I will come again for sure because l cannot find better wonton noodle soup anywhere else. Deeply impressed!

   Genuinely the best, most genuine Malaysian food you’ll find in Christchurch. So awesome having a bit of home so far away from home. Highly recommend dining in as some dishes are best for it. Takeaway is still great but you might need to check with staff with what you pick. To have meals like this at their prices also puts keeps regular customers happy. Very rare to find a gem like this with meals for around $16 in 2023. - Happy local

   Decided to come here and try it as it comes highly recommended by a couple of friends. The restaurant is a little bit small and could get really crowded during peak hours (and there would be a bit of wait as well). But when food arrived, I was not disappointed. Authentic taste and of decent portions as well! I like the deco of the place, and how the menu design matches the atmosphere! Some dishes remind me of food from home. Nice experience overall.

   A unique traditional meal of street food. Is worth the visit if you craving for asian foods or just a big meal. The portion are generous and the the interior are plaster with Penang street are wallpaper. It is self service and cash only. Closed on Monday. Open during lunch and dinner, shop closed in between.
