Visited over the weekend - great service! Met one of the bartenders named Emer. She was wonderful and really made it feel like home! Dux will be our local spot as long as she's there :) Also really nice selection of beers both on tap and in the bottles. All good stuff!
Lively, friendly, tasty food and drinks. I recommend the Ginger Tom beer
Had a work dinner here this evening, the atmosphere was chill and there was live music which was entertaining. I had ordered the chicken parm with green salad and three cooked potatoes. It wasn't drowning in sauce which was good and had a decent cheese melt on top. Chicken itself was very tender and seasoned well. I liked the potatoes the best as they were very crispy and I could dip them in the mayo sauce. Cleaned the plate, very delicious; price point tad high but i think worth it. Our server was attentive which was also a bonus.
What an amazing venue. I had never been here before. We went for a friends birthday celebration. From arriving to the venue, to leaving the venue, it was a phenomenally great experience. It's a beautiful looking restaurant with greenery all around. The food - we ordered a pizza that was so tasty that I wish we had ordered one each instead of sharing - shout out to the hot sauce that my hubby raved about. The highlight for me was the live music which was really really really good and made the time go so quickly. We were all singing along and having a great time. Will definitely be back. What a gem. Wish I could give it a 10 outta 5 :)
Always liked the Dux. It is a great place to have a meal and enjoy the moment. This is a convenient central city location with parking possible but tight during the busy working week. The Dux serves nice food and has a great range of drinks available. A good place to relax and nice central city place to visit.
I was surprised with their rice meals. Had a happy tummy with their melt in your mouth beek cheeks on rice with veggies. Treat yourself with their tender juicy beef cheeks meal. Will definitely come back! And they have pork belly on rice as well.
Attended a function in The Emerald Room. It was absolutely freezing as though there was no heating at all! Everyone had their coats on and some had gloves and beanies on. Not pleasant at all for the middle of winter! On the plus side, it's a nice venue with a nice atmosphere for a smallish gathering. The finger food was really great and well-presented.
The place seems really nice, it’s my first time here, I come with friends in the happy hour (4-6pm), my friends ordered at 5:58/5:59pm they got the discount and I didn’t because it was exactly 6pm It’s not a big deal cause I have my lovely beer anyway but I felt the stuff was a little rude/funny about that. If you go there make sure you go on time ;)
We ordered the fried chicken, fried calamari and clam chowder! It was all delicious! Great place to hang out!
