Dim sums and service were good and better than the others in Christchurch. We enjoyed the most dishes we ordered. Any dish having pastry part was good.

Each dish was amazing! Came for yum cha from Melbourne Australia so my expectations are quite high and I have to say this little gem has hit the notes! Wonderful flavours, proportions and price. This is also the most clean restaurant ive been to

Food selection and taste were perfect for me (not overly salty/sweet, very fresh produce), highly comparable to the standards in Hong Kong yum cha. The price was reasonable for the quality and the amount of food you got. 100% would go again and recommend anyone. Also went for dinner the night before. Equality amazing!

Perhaps the dim sum is good, but I wouldn’t recommend for dinner! In an area with so many other fantastic options, the food and service are average! Our meals came one dish at a time, our main dish was stone cold and had to be sent back, and our other dish was forgotten. Fried rice was ok but chicken and sweet corn soup was bland. It lacked atmosphere, though the waitress was very nice. Wouldn’t visit again.

Food taste average, expensive for its portion, slow, expect to wait up to one hour to eat. We ordered multiple items but to only receive one dish after 30 over minutes of wait. With more than half of the tables already been served and almost done eating. In conclusion, if you have time and money sure, else you are better off going somewhere else. One thing to mention is that staffs are extremely polite, kudos to them.

Food was delicious and service was great! I’ve been to many yum Chas across Auckland Wellington and Christchurch. This is probably one of my favourites. Definitely recommend for yum cha, can’t wait to try their dinner menu.

Food is delicious and so fresh. The depth of flavours the chefs achieved in a short time was impressive. We enjoyed the chefs special crispy rice with seafood, fried prawns with pepper and Broccoli with garlic. Large portions and great value for money. All staff are very hardworking, attentive and friendly. Cannot recommend Phoenix Restaurant enough!

Not the cheapest option for dim sum in town but taste-wise one of the best. Highly recommend their soup as this is a signature thing for the restaurant. Excellent service quality and very fresh ingredients. If you are somewhat a big eater you may need to order lots of plates. But overall a place that I will definitely regular come for a nice treat.
