Pros: -Nice quiet location -Hot pool water are changed daily -Plenty of shelter choices around the pools -Well equipped kitchen with plenty enough sinks, stoves and fridges to accommodate guests. Cons: -Poorly managing of the facility. Booking people on sites that are still booked where guests only went uptown and came back to their site being occupied already. Caretaker friendly but oblivious to campers over stretching tents onto other campsite causing headaches moving the already pitched up camp to accommodate the new guests. -No definition of site boundaries so guests with really huge tents tend to over extend to the point that the other guests have to cramp their campsite. -Quite small tent/motorhome sites and no other privacy covers. Our motorhome is 7.5m long so it slightly went over the driveway with no room to back into without overlapping to the campsite behind us. -Hot showers work occasionally. There are 3 places in total, 1 shower block costs $2 per 5 mins of hot shower but the other 2 blocks are free. Still 5 mins of hot shower though, activated by pressing the corresponding shower cubicle button on the outside of the block then hot water kicks in after 1 min. -Wifi wasnt offered or mentioned when we checked in but got shared to us by the cleaners?! -Some guests were also caught smoking a bong in the pool side and were also being loud, drinking and blasting sounds throughout the night in the communal dining area without the caretaker/management sorting the issue out. Im sure I missed out some more stuff but those are the only ones that really bothered us. The camp is still good considering it was booked on a short notice on christmas holidays but they could have kept up the upkeep and managing of the campground.

I only visited the pools. The changing room was clean and tidy. The receptionist was welcoming. The pool area was pleasant and the pools lovely to relax in.

I've stayed in many accomodations across NZ, this has to be one of the worse places I've stayed at, staff were rude, no power plugs for the room and a $2 coin only for hot showers ? The homeless in Tauranga have it better

What a cool spot. Felt like going for a swim and found this place on Google. We really enjoyed our day out here.

Staying here for just one day already felt like a nightmareβ€”everything from the room to the bathroom was beyond unacceptable. This is by far the most unforgettable (in the worst way) accommodation cabin I’ve ever stayed in. Can you believe it? Inside the cabin, there wasn’t a single normal power socket! The host had replaced them all with USB ports. This was extremely inconvenient because not every device runs on USB. If we needed to charge or use any normal appliance, we had to go to the shared kitchen. For example, after showering, if I wanted to blow dry my hair, I had no choice but to go to the common area. The shower was even worse. You had to insert coins to get hot water, and it only lasted 5 minutes. Once the water stopped, you had to step outβ€”wet and wrapped in a towel or half-dressedβ€”just to insert more coins outside before continuing your shower. Meanwhile, anyone could walk past, including men, which was extremely awkward and uncomfortable for women. The toilets were also shared between men and women, and the doors weren’t fully covered to the ceiling. This gave me an uneasy feeling that the risk of being secretly filmed was very high. If you haven’t booked this place yetβ€”don’t do it. Save yourself from the torture. This was honestly one of the most disgusting and unpleasant accommodations I’ve ever experienced.

0 star rating. This place may as well be an adults only venue. The GRUMPY owners have a zero tolerance for fun. No splashing, no PASSING a ball (even though we were literally the only group there) the ball went over the fence so owner quickly went to get it then hid it in his office. Or tried to until my son caught him and asked him to give it back. He then threw it with force to him (he's 7) I totally understand no jumping or diving but you literally cannot make a peep here. Why bother owning a business if you dont want your guests to have fun. Honestly do not waste your hard earned money here. $15 for an adult is an absolute rip off. Even if you are spectating you still have to pay $15. What the hell for?? A fee yes but not a full price fee. Greedy! Do yourself a favour and get a residents card to mt Hot Pools or Go 15 mins up the road To Oropi Pools way nicer and owners are lovley! Fernland spa extra 5 mins from Opropi.

This place is very expensive considering its just pools and nothing else $11 for a child! Baywave is cheaper! The owners are also extremely rude and give u dirty looks as you swim. Do not recommend coming here. Go to baywave or Greerton pools

If there was an option with not giving them a star I would do so in a heart beat! I don’t understand why the owners wants to run this as a business while treating their guests/customers like dirt and neglecting their duties. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND as a lot of people has had poor experience coming here.

Highly disappointed, glad to be gone. No fun to be had here, cant even play games like cricket and no water fights or water guns. We witnessed the owners laughing at a family who wanted jumper leads but they were to busy to help. Owner told me a story of how she stole someone's puppy (many years ago) because she didn't like them leaving it while the went to work. Kicked my older parents out but allowed young people to drink until early hours of the morning and allows young girls to strip down naked it the unisex change rooms and made my kids feel very uncomfortable. Not welcoming very sad to have this kind of behavior in a lovely community
