Careful not to pick a high wind day to go up to the top, I had to head back down as the wind was blowing me sideways. Other than that a well formed track starting off as a gradual incline getting steeper after about 1/3 in. Good solid walk in beautiful mostly native bush. If you want you can do the loop track 7 - 8 hours.

We really loved it. Not as easy with under 5's but a beautiful walk. Lots of ups and downs but well worth the adventure. Some edges are a little steep but the track is big enough for a single file in some areas. Carparks were available next to the entrance and a port-o-potty. Dogs are sighted so I assume if on leash they are able to come. Lovely walk estimated 3 hours to get to the falls so leave early if you want to take your time and be aware of when sunset is to make sure you're not walking in the dark. It's not so easy then :)

Stunning sights. Be aware the track to the left will take upwards of 9 hours whereas the one on the right will take around 5 - 6.

Moderate level, some parts are steep, need to be physically fit to walk. There are some parking lots next to the entrance of trail. It takes about four hours to go and back. It’s not a good idea to walk after heavy rain, it’s quite muddy and not easy to walk.

Beautiful hike to Ryde Falls. Picked a high winds day to do this some time ago and the track was pretty exposed despite the tree cover, was abit more intrepid than intended with trees occasionally falling around us near the start of the track and a sprained ankle. But a great adventure all the same. Highly recommend and dog friendly.

The Mt Oxford walking track is 4 hours to the summit. Department of Conservation has listed this track as advanced. It also states that suitable footwear is required:Β "Tramping/hiking boots." Never got to the summit, as another party sprained their ankle on this steep and unforgiving rugged track. Plus there were very strong howling winds in exposed places, once you left the ridgeline of the beech forest. So proceeded to turn around. It is not about getting to the top but safely getting down. The mountain will be there another day to climb.

Did the coopers creek loop in 7hr in the rain. Walked to Ryde Falls before reaching the summit. There’s a nice campsite just by the stream at Ryde Falls! Would be super keen to spend a night there, listening to the waterfall. The send is over 1200m, but really worth it. It was very cloudy, so didn’t get much of a view. But still a stunning hike! Absolutely in love with the forest.

Great hike to mount Oxford and Rydes fall. Around 7 hours loop from Coopers Creek car park (with plenty of stops for photos and lunch). The hike to the summit is pretty steep around 2h30 but the view up there is really nice. From the top is mainly down hill till the fall. Around 2 hours. And finally a good 2 hours to get back to the car park. Well marked and well maintained path. The fall is pretty nice too.

Nice track and beautiful waterfall. Watch out for mozzies and sandflies in summer. Be sure to go with people as you’ll want someone to open and close the gates for you as you pass through the farms. I’d recommend taking a 4wd to cross the rivers along the way.
