Was looking for somewhere different for our wedding anniversary, and found this amazing heritage house B&B on the web. On arrival we were welcomed by the hosts Iain & Penny, and shown to our room. We couldnβt fault the facilities, everything was clean and tidy. A lovely continental Breakfast was available every day, no matter what time we wandered down stairs. We loved the common area, it was so relaxing to chill out with a nice wine in the evening, sharing the space occasionally with the house cat. Iain provided us with the history of the house, and then pointed out two amazing kauri trees in the back yard. Iain and Penny were very helpful in pointing us towards some amazing restaurants to visit. We highly recommend this accommodation.. Will definitely be back for our next Wedding Anniversary, if not before. Bernie & Barb.

It is not a 4 stars hotel. It is a very old house with the owner providing B&B. Itβs an expensive B&B not worth the money we pay for. For that price we can pay for a 4 stars hotel room with proper hotel made up beds and facilities. Breakfast is nothing. Just bread and butter, some fruits. Coffee or tea.

I spent two nights while on an impromptu trip to Tauranga. Penny was so kind and welcoming. The common space is comfortable and welcoming, especially when the fires on. The room was very comfortable, spacious, clean and had a great view! Itβs also a quick walk to downtown. The resident kitty cat was a pleasant surprise as well! Highly recommended! Iβm looking forward to staying again soon.

I had a wonderful experience here! Breakfast is always ready, so even if you come down a bit late, you can still enjoy it. The hotel owners are very kind and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. There are famous mountains and the sea nearby, making it convenient to go sightseeing. If you visit in summer, I would 100% recommend this place!

Fabulous value, excellent reception, nice warm clean room with good facilities in the dining room/Lounge. Well placed for easy walk in to town for a meal and drink. Totally surprised at breakfast when she said how do we like our eggs? Didn't expect such an awesome breakfast, it was a feast and top notch!

Had a reasonable night but would not stay here again. Had to share a bathroom/toilet with other guests. Great shower with shampoo etc in there but was difficult having to share with other guests wanting to use at same time also. Breakfast is in a communal dining kitchen (all guests at the one table)and while the other guests were lovely as was the breakfast (bacon, eggs, toast, yoghurt black coffee/milk), would have been nice to have some privacy. Room was very basic...bed against wall, small, limited plug sockets (i couldn't do my hair in the mirror) no tea/coffee/drink facilites at all in room (again these were in the communal lounge) only 3 coat hangers for clothes,no tv either anywhere Parking was on grass verge at the front of the property, not ideal Lovely house but felt like you were an unwanted guest in their home when you were using communal facilities it was very akward Staff polite but lady we dealt with had limited english which made things difficult when we needed to ask about anything. Nobody greeted us on arrival we were just gestured to another room to try to speak to someone. Not reccommended by me sorry.
