    I purchased a Sony TV from Heathcote Appliances Te Rapa on 28/04/2024. The product included a 1-year manufacturer warranty, valid until 28/04/2025. The salesperson, Simon Edmonds, recommended that I purchase an additional 1-year extended warranty, which I agreed to for an additional $71. Based on that purchase, my understanding was that the TV would be covered until 28/04/2026. On 21/12/2025, while using my PS5, the TV display suddenly became very blurred, and all three HDMI ports stopped working. The following day, I took the TV receipt to Heathcote Appliances at The Base. I was advised that I would need to contact a third-party warranty provider directly, rather than dealing with Heathcote, because the extended warranty was handled externally. This was the first time I became aware that the extended warranty was provided by a separate company. At the time of purchase, the details of the extended warranty were not explained to me, nor did I receive any written information about it. After reviewing my email history, I found only the invoice, with no documentation describing the extended warranty terms. I believe that when extended warranties are sold, customers should be clearly informed of all relevant details, including who provides the coverage and how claims are handled. Customers deserve transparency, especially when paying extra for warranty protection. Based on my experience, I would encourage future customers to ask for written details of any extended warranty before purchasing. My recent experience has been disappointing, and I hope the company will improve communication with customers regarding extended warranty agreements.

    Hi. I need to confess I didn't buy my washing machine from Heathcoates but contacted them as the local service agent for a repair. First up comms were perfect. Booked a date and repair agent called on the day when on the way. I wasn't at home but he called back shortly after with a run down of the issue. Out of warranty? No worries Heathcoates knew it was a fault and sorted with the manufacturer. Next problem how do we cope for 3 weeks without a washing machine? Again, not a problem, agent LEFT A LOAN MACHINE. Our machine now returned, no drama and no fuss. Did I mention I didn't buy the machine from them to begin with. Rest assured all my new purchases will be through them.

    It's ok, nice staff but more than a little in need of better training. I knew exactly what i wanted and told them up-front I was extremely short on time but they couldn't find the box for the product and continued to stuff around doing an order for delivery which took more than twice as long as it should have. Products arrived ok the following week. I should have just done the order online instead of going to the store.

    Customer service not very good went to purchase some items on QCARD on Monday 3rd July under 12 months promotion the salesman was not very helpful. The item was on special but he said it wasn't got it on special price but instead of the 12 months interest free he did the transaction for 3 months. I di not know this until I got the statement. Called the store they wanted to charge me $100 dollars to reverse the transactions. Very poor customer service this has put me in hardship as well. Got an email from Toni the store manager later today this has been sorted now the previous transaction cancelled with no charge Thanks

    Very dissatisfied with the service, I found what I needed and was still browsing other products but was approached twice by the same salesman offering to place the item at the checkout. I felt like he thought I would steal it. Won’t be shopping there again!
