Purchased TV from them over black friday, the staff that I had dealt with were all cheerful and easy to deal with. Biggest complaint is that when purchasing there was a lot of upselling of products like extended warranties, a surge protector and even screen wipes for the TV. Quite frustrating, even when I said that I didn't want the extended warranty they tried to argue with me about how I should buy it .
Sidhu is definitely a real salesman! He helped me and Mum at the furniture section and he was onto it with updating us about the delivery progress, a real salesperson cares about their client even after sale was already done. He is an asset to your business. Thank you Sidhu for the great service.
I recently purchased a 55” LG G5 TV from your Te Rapa store, and I would like to express my appreciation for the exceptional service provided by Rick Bishop. I had initially visited the store with a friend who was looking to upgrade her laptop and gain a better understanding of her options. While browsing the TV section, Rick approached me. His manner was professional, friendly, and never intrusive. Our conversation flowed naturally, and it was immediately clear that Rick has a genuine passion for televisions and technology, demonstrated through the depth and clarity of his explanations. At one point, I mentioned that I was “just looking and not planning to buy,” and unlike many salespeople who might either withdraw or push harder, Rick remained engaged in a relaxed, informative, and enthusiastic discussion. It felt like speaking with a true tech enthusiast rather than someone delivering a rehearsed sales pitch. I genuinely enjoyed the conversation. From not intending to purchase a television at all to becoming the proud owner of one within a week, I can confidently say that Rick is one of the best sales professionals I have encountered in any electronics store in New Zealand. I would also like to acknowledge Kiri Stephenson, who assisted with the purchase on 20 November. She provided valuable insight into aftercare, surge protection, and ownership considerations. Her approach was knowledgeable, thorough, and reassuring. You have a fantastic team, and it was refreshing to see a strong sense of mutual respect among staff—there was no sense of salespeople competing for customers, only a shared commitment to excellent service. Keep up the great work.
Poor customer service. There is no system to serve the person waiting longest. I was waiting for 20 minutes, then went to the counter to try and buy something, and was told I had to wait for sales person. Sales person was too busy selling someone an extended warranty they dont need, and a surge protector that will very unlikely be required for a product that is allready protected under the consumer guarantees act. I believe sales ethics need to be improved.
I can't say enough about Jan Galt at Harvey Norman Hamilton! Jan took the time to help me select all my kitchen appliances. Her knowledge of the products in the store was fantastic. She gave me options from which I was able to make informed decisions on. Great work Jan, really appreciate you and thanks for such a great in store experience.
Great sales staff Ryan was so helpful got us all sorted out. He made it easy to arrange delivery & holding onto the 2lounge suites &kitchen bar stolls for us until our house is finished being built.
Click and collected an item and was sent to different people 3 times, more info as to where to collect will help.
Good friendly team, really helpful staff from the minute I walked in. Olivia made sure My order item was retrieved and brought to the front desk. Fast and efficient. Ample parking on front and by being at the far end of the Base, you don't get stuck with rest of the Xmas traffic. Thanks very much. It was a very good experience and highly recomended for others to give this place a go.
