   My dog joined Southpaws at 6 months old as she was tearing the house apart with all her energy. When I would pick her up she'd instantly fall asleep in the car and would sleep the whole next day. It's been a year now and Mel has been amazing with her. My girl loves Mel and the family and is super excited to get to daycare. Drop off and pick up is a breeze with a drive-thru.

   This is the best doggy day care. They love our two pups and they love them. Mal is very caring and knows what is best for your fur baby. Seperate areas for small and large dogs. Would recommend them 100%.

   So I moved my girl to Qualified Pets Associates who are exceptionally awesome and qualified. Dog therapy counts if you want your dog domiciled and my girl has her 'guard on point' which has protected me and my whaanau in South Auckland and now Huntly. You recommended Hamish no one else...at a cost of $380 which I paid on top of the weekly day care fees is very expensive. When I raise an issue as a customer don't take offence more importantly seek to find resolution to improve service. I rely on reviews to guide me on services good bad and awful. You may not appreciate a culture of feedback but I do and your service is lacking so glad we moved on.

   I have spent weeks trying to call, text and email South Paws but have had no response. I was super excited to send my pup here, as I've just moved into the area and it looks like an ideal doggy day care. However, I'm now very put off this place, as they can't even reply to a single message or phone call. I considered just going and speaking to them in person but the fact they can't even reply to me or answer a call is concerning if I were needing to get in contact about my pup. Posting this to give others a heads up who are looking to send their pup here.

   after experiencing many South Auckland dog day care facilities (where you and your pet are just $$ resources $$ ) Southpaws actually go the extra mile to find a balance to meet not only your dogs needs but to help and support you as the pet owner. ...staff are exemplary and genuinely care about your pet, after a day at Southpaws my dog is completely exhausted from playing, running, swimming and genuine mental stimulation ...opening times are realistic and accommodating, and if you are running late, give Mel a call and your dog can stay the night... for a reasonable fee).. daily fees are fair. ..BEST solution I found and easy to access

   I like this daycare, it has areas for the dogs to run and be dogs, it is in the countryside, when it rains a lot they have a pond the dogs can swim in. The sheep and cattle give them something to look at. Great owner and team. They are improving things all the time.
